Jordan Park was built to feel like a midwest neighborhood in the middle of San Francisco. The plots of land are double lots and none of the houses touch each other. It makes the neighborhood perfect to take a night time walk around the neighborhood or through the Presidio. If feeling adventurous walk one block and hop on the 1 California or 38 Geary to get to downtown, Filmmore Street, the Marina, Haight Ashbury, Pier 39 and more.
From either airport I advise downloading the application "Uber". Type in the code "0Q32Q" to get free credit. Select the option to ride UberX or Uberpool ad both are 20 to 40 percent cheaper then a cab.
Once at our house, the best public transportation is the 1 California, 38 Geary and 2 Clement all drop off a block from our house.
Other Things to Note
Parking in the city is free. However, they restrict parking in all neighborhoods to two hours before you have to move your car. Our neighborhood this just means between 9 am - 4 pm such limit applies.
To clarify, if a car is parked it is good to remain in a location until around 11am. At that point you have to move your car out of the spot and to a new one (It could literally be a half block away). Once parked again the new 2 hour limit starts and the car will need to be moved after those 2 hours expire. If you park your car anytime from 2 pm or later it is good to remain in the same location until 11 am the next day.
ALSO REMEMBER WHEN PARKING ON HILLS TO CURB YOUR WHEELS. They love to give tickets in this city for that.
WASH N FOLD service is offered at a cleaner a block away called The Soap Box Cleaners. They charge $0.89 a pound and there hours are Hours:

Richie was a warmly, welcoming, and responsive host. As can be discerned from his listing, Richie is clear, communicative, and enthusiastic, with a good eye for detail and his guests' needs. Chocolates, flowers & tasty spirits awaited our arrival.
This homey apartment sparkles. We arrived from a lovely Westin Hotel of “heavenly bed” fame —and this was even nicer! And with its cute, fully equipped kitchen, we easily baked cookies, cooked, used the dishwasher. Intelligently compact layout includes full tub, walk ins, plentiful storage, comfy furnishings, wonderful shower and plush towels. A combination of natural and thoughtful lighting throughout makes the apartment feel spacious and airy.
Extra linens were offered in the event our daughter wished to spend the night (at no extra charge). Despite being happily settled into her new dorm, she kept coming back. She texted me today, “Phone still thinks I’ll be going back to apartment.” She loved the locale.
Great mélange of eateries (ask for recommendations!), ethnic markets, cafes, and a wonderfully funky, yet current bookstore nearby. Husband strolled with morning coffee for landmark panoramic views. A beautifully, quiet, amazing location, nestled near neighborly upscale and commercially thorough streets, it’s easily walkable for the not-so-cardio.
When Richie greeted us to unlock the gate, our teenager said, “ I want to LIVE here!” Surprised husband said, “This is charming and so NICE.” And I confirmed a lifelong hunch that I was born on the wrong coast, soothed while on the brink of empty nesthood. Here's the best of SF ground floor living--a haven, launch pad and lovely sanctuary. Being too much of a pack rat to go home and purge so my house looks like this, instead, we’’ll be back. Our first air bnb stay has set a high standard for a family that's accustomed to staying in many hotels.
Richie did leave a sleep sound machine in case you need it, but honesty, pooch Eddie and his owners' occasional footsteps and muffled exchanges above, are just small evidence of ground floor living. Enjoy. You’ll be amazed you stayed here!
I had a fantastic stay at Richie's apartment!
The space is beautiful. Impeccably clean and comfortable (the bed is to die for). A private entrance made it very easy to come and go as I pleased. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and a short walk away from a grocery store, convenience store, restaurants, a park etc. It had a great kitchen to store groceries and make coffee in the morning, and a comfortable couch to veg on and watch TV at the end of the day.
And Richie was an excellent host! He's a busy guy, but still made a point to take me out for coffee and a dinner. Gave tons of advice for places to eat and things to do. We ended up chatting at length about our shared field of film and I left feeling I have a new friend and colleague.
The perfect place if you want to have privacy and a clean, spacious area to retreat to. Richie is very respectful and helpful and made it a great stay. Definitely recommend!
First time Airbnb user here, had a great experience. No issues with booking, apt was clean, Richie was friendly, good neighborhood, overall great trip.
Location was amazing. Richie was a great host and we could not have asked for a better experience. This was our first time visiting San Fran and Richie gave us some great suggestions and tips on getting around the city. Location was super clean and very well maintained. Check-in/Check-out was effortless. Will definitely visit next time we are back in San Francisco.
Beautiful, meticulously perfect and clean! Richie and his mother are wonderful hosts. Their apartment is exactly (if not even better) than described, feeling like it's been remodeled just for you - as if no one has ever stayed there before or as if you are visiting a close friend who has made the space special for you. I had something breakable that I needed to pack in my luggage, and they even had baggies in the kitchen to use! The sheets and towels, blankets and comforter are all high end quality (as well as the soaps etc they provide for you, such as Mrs. Meyer's). Parking was no problem in the area, but using Lyft or Uber is so cheap in the city that next time I wouldn't bother with a car. It was nice to stay in a neighborhood where locals live so that you see more than the tourist sections of the city. Everything was a $5 Lyft ride away. Richie even gave us restaurant recommendations that were some of the best meals we had on our trip. He was also very accommodating when we asked to check out later bc of a late night flight home. Since the apartment was not rented the following night, he rearranged the cleaning time to allow us to stay later (without charging!).
Obviously, we loved our stay. Thank you thank you thank you to Richie for making it so easy and enjoyable. One of the best airbnb's I've stayed in.
We had a lovely stay at this apartment. The space was very clean and comfortable as described in the listing. Richie (host) was very responsive with all questions and gave us some great restaurant tips locally when we checked in. We would defiantly stay there again.
Fabulous. Flawless. Better than advertised. Very clean, great amenities and private. I only wish we stayed longer :). Richie was extremely friendly, responsive, accommodating and reliable when needed.
About the Host, Richie
I am a storyteller. Sharing peoples' triumphs and tragedies with audiences is something I have enjoyed from the time I could start asking questions. I was always the kid at the dinner table asking my parents'' friends, "What was your motivation for...?" or "How did you come to make this decision?" It just so happens one of these family friends worked at Jim Henson studios and with his guidance, I discovered my passion for telling stories through film.
I am also a dreamer. I believe nothing is impossible. Whether it is spending a weekend at the 2010 Winter Olympics, taking a two-week spring break in Australia, or spending a summer road tripping to 16 states, my own personal experiences have taught me any dream can become reality. This has been reaffirmed through the opportunities I''ve had to work on major motion picture sets like Iron Man 2, Oceans 13, Rent and Bicentennial Man.
Since graduating from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, I've continued to pursue my passion for filmmaking. I love meeting interesting people, hearing their stories and sharing them with the world—and most importantly, having fun while doing it. I know there are tons of stories yet to be told and I look forward to meeting the characters and portraying their adventures through film.
