Jordan Park was built to feel like a midwest neighborhood in the middle of San Francisco. The plots of land are double lots and none of the houses touch each other. It makes the neighborhood perfect to take a night time walk around the neighborhood or through the Presidio. If feeling adventurous walk one block and hop on the 1 California or 38 Geary to get to downtown, Filmmore Street, the Marina, Haight Ashbury, Pier 39 and more.
From either airport I advise downloading the application "Uber". Type in the code "0Q32Q" to get free credit. Select the option to ride UberX or Uberpool ad both are 20 to 40 percent cheaper then a cab.
Once at our house, the best public transportation is the 1 California, 38 Geary and 2 Clement all drop off a block from our house.
Other Things to Note
Parking in the city is free. However, they restrict parking in all neighborhoods to two hours before you have to move your car. Our neighborhood this just means between 9 am - 4 pm such limit applies.
To clarify, if a car is parked it is good to remain in a location until around 11am. At that point you have to move your car out of the spot and to a new one (It could literally be a half block away). Once parked again the new 2 hour limit starts and the car will need to be moved after those 2 hours expire. If you park your car anytime from 2 pm or later it is good to remain in the same location until 11 am the next day.
ALSO REMEMBER WHEN PARKING ON HILLS TO CURB YOUR WHEELS. They love to give tickets in this city for that.

Honestly, it would most likely benefit me more if I didn't gush over this gem. The location is excellent, quiet and private even though it is a mother-in-law apartment located behind a lovely home. The decor is right out of Pottery Barn...clean, light and bright and modern. We were much later in our arrival than anticipated and Richie was pleasant and patient.
Richie's house is located In a really quiet and nice neighborhood. We arrived very late then Richie's mum hosted us, she was very welcoming and handed us the key to the apartment. It's very safe, there is a big door outside of the entry of the apartment. It's such a cute apartment, Richie was really nice he cleaned the apartment before we (website hidden) is really nice and clean and organized, the apartment smells well, the bed was super soft and (website hidden)'s a great place to stay in all.I will definitely go back if I have any chance!
Richie was gracious and informative in getting me set up and helping with a lot of luggage for my lengthy stay. He, and his mom, were consistently and instantly responsive to every question and need I had. The apartment is well appointed, the bed super comfortable and bathroom and kitchen absolutely immaculate (as was the rest of the apartment). This was my first Airbnb stay and I could not have been more pleased.
Everything was great! Richie was out of town the day we got there, but had his friend show us in and everything went smoothly. He was really communicative the whole time and flexible, and sincerely wanted us to have a good experience.
The apartment was clean, well-decorated, and beautiful. The bed was amazing - soft and luxurious, with a really warm, fluffy comforter. And the neighborhood is great - the street is quiet, but there are lots of restaurants and such close by (including Green Apple Books, probably my favorite place in SF).
We were able to hear people upstairs, as mentioned in other reviews, but honestly it didn't bother us that much. I guess it just depends on your tolerance for that sort of thing, but really it seemed minor compared to all the other great things about the place.
Overall, we had a wonderful time, and would definitely stay there again.
I have been visiting my daughter in San Francisco about 3 to 4 times a year for the last 9 years. I tried hotels and different apartments. Richie Gordon's place is where I will stay every time I visit S.F. in the future.
It is a beautiful apartment, comfortable, clean and located in a very nice neighborhood.
About the Host, Richie
I am a storyteller. Sharing peoples' triumphs and tragedies with audiences is something I have enjoyed from the time I could start asking questions. I was always the kid at the dinner table asking my parents'' friends, "What was your motivation for...?" or "How did you come to make this decision?" It just so happens one of these family friends worked at Jim Henson studios and with his guidance, I discovered my passion for telling stories through film.
I am also a dreamer. I believe nothing is impossible. Whether it is spending a weekend at the 2010 Winter Olympics, taking a two-week spring break in Australia, or spending a summer road tripping to 16 states, my own personal experiences have taught me any dream can become reality. This has been reaffirmed through the opportunities I''ve had to work on major motion picture sets like Iron Man 2, Oceans 13, Rent and Bicentennial Man.
Since graduating from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, I've continued to pursue my passion for filmmaking. I love meeting interesting people, hearing their stories and sharing them with the world—and most importantly, having fun while doing it. I know there are tons of stories yet to be told and I look forward to meeting the characters and portraying their adventures through film.
