The apartment was perfect and had everything we needed to make us feel comfortable. The private courtyard was the most amazing spot to work and hang out. Mariano was the best host--made us feel right at home and catered to all our needs. The apartment is close to lots of great restaurants and the train, making it a superb location. Perfect airbnb experience!
Mariano is a perfect host. We asked for an early arrival and a late departure – no problem for Mariano. We had a really warm welcome and he showed us everything which we need to know about his very nice Flat! Red wine and snacks was set forward to us.
The apartment fit well to our family of 5 persons. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space.
We can definitely recommend this property.
Mario's place was the perfect spot for our stay in LA. We arrived late, but he was willing to make arrangements with us for our late arrival, thankfully. Within walking distance of several restaurants (handy for late night eating), the best part was by far the great outdoor spaces attached to the complex. We had a private deck, but there was also a beautiful communal area that was very Zen like and quiet. The apartment itself, was larger than expected with a lot of space for 5 of us to stay in. The rooms were clean, and well maintained. The beds were so comfortable. Also very appreciated? The parking spot. I didn't think about it in advance, but was so grateful it was there.
The apartment manager, Tony, kindly gave us a brief explanation of the neighborhood; metro, restaurants, street names, etc. so we could easily get around.
Comments I heard from my family/friends:
"This place is so cool."
"I really like it here."
"Mom, we have to travel like this from now on." (daughter's friend to her mother)
"They have snacks, too!"
"You've gotta come out here!"
I think my husband wants to live there.
It was a great stay and we would definitely come back again.
Great spot in Korea town. Fun neighborhood, inviting home, and very relaxing. I would definitely stay here again.
Thank you very much Mariano.
It's a perfect place in downtown LA. We had a great time in this house. Mariano is a very kind and friendly host, he helped us a lot.

About the Host, Mariano
Greetings ... Mariano here in koreatown, which LA Weekly November 2012 cover story claims to be "The hippest neighborhood in the country." I bought this Spanish four-plex in 1994 and have done a major remodel to transform the outside space into a zen oasis from the bustling city.
