Available for longer discounted stays during spring 2020 Coronavirus pandemic. Ideal for a couple or a small group of friends, this charming two bedroom house is located outside the artsy town of Narrowsburg and two hours from NYC's George Washington Bridge. Enjoy access to my private 2 acres on the Ten Mile River, gorgeous in all seasons.

The space
The legendary Luxton Lake / Ten Mile River region is the setting for the cutest little house in Narrowsburg, NY. Ideal for a couple, a small group of friends, or an artist looking for inspiration, this charming house is located two miles from the artsy town of Narrowsburg, nestled along the Delaware River and chock-a-block with art galleries, antiques, ice cream & coffee shops, a supermarket, gas station, and several of the best restaurants in the region.

Recently renovated, this cozy 2-bedroom cottage is furnished with one full-size bed, bunk beds, a claw foot bathtub (no shower), a restored 1950s cooking stove, wood floors, and ceiling fan. It is stocked with soft cotton linens, wool blankets, mid-century dishware, and classic games. Start your morning with coffee on the front deck, and wrap up the day with a barbeque on the back deck.

You can choose from five different outdoor fire pits. One is in the backyard behind the cabin for when you want to be close to home. Another is nestled in the woods next to the cabin, you'll be walking in the woods to get to it. Three others are located along the banks of my private Ten Mile River waterfront land, a beautiful 5 minute walk from the cabin. Cut firewood is stacked near all fire pits. I recommend you bring fire starters, newspaper, and matches.

Located two hours from the George Washington Bridge. Close to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (15 miles), Callicoon (8 miles) and the Delaware River (2 miles).

Three-night minimum holiday weekends.

Photo and film shoots welcome. Location fees apply.

Strict no pet policy. Please don't ask for an exception. If you want to bring your dog with you, I recommend the local dog boarding kennel Dog Mountain Lodge in Cochecton, NY.

Guest access
In addition to the house, feel free to enjoy the three-acre park across the road that bustles with wildlife and offers a swing set for the kids.

A short walk down a quiet country road leads you to my private 2-acre picnic spot where you can enjoy a campfire and take a dip in the water at the picturesque Ten Mile River Falls.

Several outdoor fire pits along the river make a great setting for roasting marshmallows and telling stories. Free firewood provided.

Large back yard with fire pit.

Other things to note
Strong signal Wi-Fi is provided.

After living in NYC for 10 years, I moved to the mountains where I could write, raise my family, and relish the quiet nights. I've built and renovated a few houses in Narrowsburg and am excited to offer my latest labors of love, The Cutest Little House in Narrowsburg and the Vintage Canned Ham to city dwellers looking for a respite.

During your stay
I live next door and am available as needed, but will not be intrusive during your stay.

Many of my guests have wanted to know about the history of the Luxton Lake, Narrowsburg area. I'm happy to give my guests a guided history/walking tour of the community and share the knowledge I've gathered as an amatuer historian and documentarian of the area. We can tour the Ten Mile River, centuries-old stone walls, the Luxton Lake dam site and lakebed, and an 1860s home that I'm currently restoring right down the road. My short film "Lucky Lake" about the area can also be viewed on YouTube (or on DVD in the cabin).
