The room: 21 m2, painted in yellow and brown. double bed (160x200), internet, wireless, silent at night, nice wardrobe, desk...everything you need at your hand, in a nice and cozy style. There is NOT air conditioning
The flat: 100 square meters, kitchen, shared bathroom, 3 bedrooms
The area where the flat is located is called Pigneto and is one of the most famous in Rome for former and newer filmmakers, because of its urbanistic and lifestyle.
Just beside the flat, several restaurants, pizzerie and bars are available, and all of the them are much cheaper than in the touristic areas.
So, in the neighborhood you can find dozens and dozens of restaurants, pubs, all kind of shops and every-everything you will search for at just few steps away. It's very well known as one of the most crowded during the lovely fresh nights in Rome, yet the apartment has on optimal silent location where no one single voice or noise can reach it.
The flat offers you a great combination of both location and comforts. Everything you need is close at hand, the area is safe, the flat both wide and modern. To understand it, just check out the pictures of the flat.
It is 30 minutes walk away from Colosseum and from historical center; anyway there are plenty of buses and tram just under the apartment. The place is very well connected with Termini/Tiburtina train station as well as Fiumicino and Ciampino airports.
But what makes this place unique is the warm sense of hospitality that you will feel, from being helped in any need and will you should have. We really enjoy make people have their best of their stay in Rome!
We have flexibility to check in but not later than 22:00!!! Therefore, the latest landing time has to be 20:30 and the latest arrival train has to be 21:30.
Very easy to get to/from the airport and the main train station. From ANY airport (Fiumicino or Ciampino) just get the shuttle up to the main train station named Termini. From there just pick ANY tram and count only 9 stops, as all of the tram stop just in front of my house!
The price of the room does not include the TOURIST TAX, which will be required in accordance with the law!
the rate includes: breakfast, linen, towels, free usage of the kitchen

"Pigneto is away from touristic pathways, being anyway very central and with excellents connections to any and each point of interest. It is located just at few stops away from the main train station (named Termini), it's the heartbeat of romans: what locals do? They head to Pigneto, which is a dynamic suburb off the tourist track, and is abuzz with bars, cafés and restaurants. It is still one of the city’s best-kept secrets from tourist, but not for a long anymore. At eight in the morning the fresh fruit and vegetable market in the pedestrian-only strip of Pigneto is doing a brisk trade against a backdrop of closed shops and brick walls plastered with street posters and graffiti. Old grannies with shopping trolleys mix with the iPod generation to buy the freshest produce from vendors who sip takeaway espresso delivered from a corner bar." (copied from an article)
The host I like: everyone, I just ask for a basic honesty and good manners. We are pleased to have your stay. We will give you a clean and nice apartments, and we will clean out once you'll leave it. Please, just state clear your requirements before the arrival. If during the stay should you have any further need or anything should happen, just state it clear to us. Just good manners!
we have very good time in Roma. It was really fun. The host was really professional doing Airbnb. Nice area, easy get everywhere. Host helped us print ticket，give is suggestions for our trip in Roma. Everything there was fantastic.
Pietro made Rome and our first air bnb a wonderful experience.
the instruction of how to get there was perfect, the room, exactly how it was described. he gave us a local cellphone with internet connection for map and whatsapp group that answered every question we had (thank's friends).
also, we took the guided tour that they are offering, and that was number 1 choice of our time in Rome.
Nina has been a brilliant tour guide, we're so happy we got her. She made the colosseum's and roman forum history come to life. Amazing tour. Well worth the money. She was super knowledgable and great at navigating around the crowds of people visiting the sites and there was no question we asked that she was unable to answer fully ! Being overwhelmed by pieces of art (and other visitors too!) it was great to have a guide to help lead us and teach us fabulous facts. Everything is very well coordinated from start to finish, highly recommended.
and again, thank's Pietro, Nina & friend's
Pietro was a great host and Georgia was extremely helpful! The room came with a bonus of a smartphone to use while there to communicate with them as well as using Google maps to get around Rome. This was a huge help since my personal phone didn't work in Italy. We also got breakfast tickets to trendy neighborhood spots that introduced us to the Italian breakfast. Pigneto was a great neighborhood to stay in and explore.
Pietro and Flavia are great!!! Everything was great from the first day onwards.. they are very helpful and the rooms and apartment are clean. Location is great.. just a 2 minutes walk and you will reach the tram / bus stop in which the bus/tram can bring you to Vatican, Termini and many other places.
Pigneto itself is a away from tourist place but have many good restaurants nearby. It is very convenient for a solo traveler like me. The neighbourhood also feel very safe.. I have no problem walking alone early in the morning or late at night.
Pietro is a helpful host.. give me a lot of advice on where to go and even help me to book train ticket to Napoli... will definitely stay again at the same place when back to Rome :)
I really enjoyed my stay in the hospitality of friendly Pietro and his team. There is nothing at all I can complain. They were so kind and absolutely helpful and funny. It is not just a stay in their place. We became friends.I definitely come back to Roma to see them and to stay in their place again!!!
I've already visited Roma a few times but never through airbnb and what a change! Pietro and Flavia took really good care of us, they even gave us a phone with 3G connection to reach them and have a GPS. They also printed our plane tickets and made a reservation for a cab, you definitely can count on them for anything. The advices for the restaurants and bars were just perfect, very typical!
As far as the flat is concerned, it's in a very trendy neighborhood that we just loved. Easily reachable from termini or even the city center with tram and metro but personally we preferred walking through Roma and discovering the small streets around by foot. The room is exactly as described. It has to be a " but" in here : we found the room a bit noisy, the noise from the bathroom/kitchen/ from other bnb roommate were too loud and certainly too late in the night but I guess it depends on who you are sharing the flat with 'cause the last night we had without was very quiet ... Tahnk you to both of you for making this stay a real pleasure!
Madelaine was there to greet me upon my arrival. She was very friendly and helpful and even provided me with an Italian cell phone, which was very helpful and she was very patient and available to help me learn to use it, as I wasn't used to an Android phone. The accommodations were great. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of closet and dresser space in my room, which was right next to the shared bathroom. I enjoyed the use of the kitchen which was well stocked with pots and pans, dishes and silverware. There was even a small balcony off the kitchen. I was there for two weeks so I met several other guests and especially had fun with three women who were also home in the evenings during their stay. Mohammed, another of the hosts, was there part of the time and he also was very friendly and helpful.
The neighborhood was nice. Pietro left a couple of pages of notes on local restaurants and places of interest which was very helpful. I partook of several of the restaurants and the food was delicious.
On the next block from the apartment entrance was a brick wall that art students decorated with large paintings of various subjects. The painting changed somewhat as the artists changed. One of the artists told me that he would ask a painting, "Do you want to stay?" and then decide whether to paint over it.
Public transportation (trams and buses) was available closeby and you could get to the center of Rome in 15 to 30 minutes depending on the traffic. Most days I left in the late morning, visited sites until late afternoon, then returned to the apartment about dinner time.
I often cooked breakfast and dinner in the apartment and it was really nice to have a supermarket a block away right by the tram stop.
Peitro returned from his vacation near the end of my visit and was very helpful in giving me information about touring other parts of Italy.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience staying with Pietro and His Friends. I would definitely go back and would highly recommend this apartment to any of friends visiting Rome.

Myself and a group of friends decided to open up our homes in Rome to all the good people who want to enjoy Rome, even if only for a few days! I (Pietro) was born and grew up in Rome. I also work in the travel industry and am more than happy to share my knowledge with you. My friends and I (we call ourselves “DoYouBnb”) really like being in contact with people from all over the world. We come from all over the world (mostly Rome but also Germany, Afghanistan and France) and all of us have a passion for travel. For example I've have lived in Egypt, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Sweden, Spain and have also travelled to Brazil, Chile, Rwanda, Uganda, Morocco, Turkey, Greece, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland and... so on!
We love exchanging cultural tips and experiences with people we meet. We are excited to be a part of your trip to Rome and hope it is a unique experience. When you are happy it makes us happy!
Beside that I love biking, photography and music. I am always game for discussing pretty much anything!
We are very passionate about Rome, Italy and its culture and we really like to cook. We would be proud and happy to cook for you (no extra charge here, it is about hospitality, not about making money!)
We are a close group of friends and are happy to share our happiness and passion for Rome with you! :)
