We had a great experience at Home Sweet Home, when we arrived they were finishing up cleaning the apartment and directed us to a cafe nearby to get cappuccinos with a free breakfast coupon she gave us . A few minutes later we returned and the apartment was ready. Gabriele's directions were very easy to follow and it is only a few short minutes from the metro stop. The neighborhood itself has all the necessities and is in walking distance to everything you want to see. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment well appointed. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!
Gabriele gave us instructions that were very easy to follow and made contact with me a few days beforehand to see if I needed any recommendations or advice when staying in Rome which we appreciated.
The keys were left in a combination lock which is great as we could check-in in our own time.
Gabriele knows what she is doing. We were warmly welcomed into her home by cold drinks in the fridge, snacks on the table and a large space to stretch out and relax. This is more than a place to stay. It is seriously your home in Rome. We were given free breakfast vouchers for a local cafe, a book with everything we needed to know about our neighborhood and a well equipped space to make us not feel like we were backpacking.
The location is super close to a subway and in a really nice part of town. There are plenty of stores, cafes and restaurants nearby. The house is large with everything you need. The internet is fast and there is even TV.
Gabriele is quick to respond to any need and super understanding of anything that may arise during your trip. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Gabriele was a wonderful host; very responsive and helpful. The apartment was lovely and perfect for our stay in Rome. It was in the basement level, so it stayed cool even in the oppressive heat of June. The cupboards were stocked with pasta and sauce for a quick meal which was very nice for when we first arrived. We were within easy walking distance of most of the monuments, and just a block from the metro station which made it easy to get to everything else. The guest book had great suggestions for places to go and things to do and places to eat, which we found very helpful. And the portable Wifi was truly wonderful! We used it every time we went out! All in all a wonderful place to stay!
Great host, great apartment! The apartment was very cozy & well-kept. It was very clean & equipped with all the things that we needed for our 2 night stay. My hubs personally like the positive quotes painted on the apartment's wall. Gabriele is such a darling because he actually asked me whether my 3yo son need anything else for the stay & he bought cereal & milk for him since I have informed that is his fav! :) He also has prepared the foldable single bed for my son just in case the bed won't fit us 3 but trust us, the bed is also very spacious! Additional point for the host is that he was very attentive. On our 1st night, the apartment has blacked out due to our over excessive use of the electricity (silly us hehe). Gab's mom was very helpful & attended our call by providing us with the instruction on what we need to do. Gab himself actually came to check on us :) The pocket wifi & the breakfast voucher are also bonuses. Plus the neighneighbourhood is very safe, near to police office & 10 mins walk to Colloseum. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Our trip to Rome was great & staying at Gab's place has made it even more wonderful :)
