Philippe has been the best host you could ask for, he was always extremely responsive to anything I might have needed or wondered and had the delicate attention to bring a few groceries (with the best chocolate ever) and to invite me for a coffee when I arrived. The place is perfectly located, very quiet while in the very heart of Gemmayze (the most trendy neighbourhood in Beirut) right accross the EU delegation, in a quiet street behind the main one with all the restaurants, art galleries, supermarkets, bars, cosy cafés and even yoga centers. It is also walking distance from Mar Mikhail and Down Town, the other two hotspots. It has great security standards, the buildings are perfectly safe and clean just as the studio. Furthermore, the latter is extremely practical, I've rented the place for a month and signed up for six additional months as it didn't feel small at all, it feels cosy and confortable, with everything one could need and a very reliable host in case anything more could be wished; which, according to my experience in a country like Lebanon, is a significant asset to take into account to ensure one's trip to stay on the right track. As an example, the toilet needed to be checked once during my stay and Philippe had a plumber sent the very same day at the time of my best convenience, accompanied by a cleaning lady to make sure nothing would be left behind after his work. This is, to say the least, a remarkably professional treatment that is rare to be expected in most places around, even when the prices are similar. The internet works perfectly well, all cooking utensils are provided, the shower is great, the kingbed is very confortable, the place benefits from beautiful day light during the day and the light gradients installed all over the place make the cinema projector even more magical at night with an awesome sound system. In conclusion, both Philippe and the studio are a wonderful catch in Beirut!
