Everything was OK. Marjolein is verypolite. We had to pay for parking 20 euros, so it's the only one disadvantage. Conditions in host place quaite good. I can reccomend it on.
Marjolein was very welcoming and her detailed instructions on how to get to the flat were so helpful! On arrival she greeted us warmly and talked us through the neighbourhood, providing maps of the area and information on nearby attractions. The flat itself is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, we really enjoyed having breakfast outside on the balcony and cooking in the evenings. All the amenities worked perfectly, including the washing machine, which we did avail of. I couldn't recommend a stay more! Having bikes available to us made our stay even more fun, they come with pannier bags which made a sunny picnic a fun possibility. Having multiple grocery stores nearby is also a major plus!
Although Marjolein was not there on arrival she did arrive later in the evening and made us most welcome. We had some difficulty finding the address even by taxi. The apartment was within easy walking distance of the city centre.
We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay here. The neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet, close by to a lot of shops.
The bicycles were fantastic although note that for anyone lower than 160cm probably won't be able to reach the seat. And that the bikes don't have brakes.
Wifi was quick and we had no problems with it.
Highly recommended play to stay!
Lovely apartment, fantastic location, everything is within walking distance. Unfortunately, we did not get to meet Marjolein but she had left us plenty of information and helpful maps of Utrecht. The city is absolutely beautiful, had a brilliant time and will most certainly be back! Thanks, Marjolein!
The apartment is quite aged but the location is very central. 5 minutes walk to Bijenkorf and right below the apartment there's an Albert Hijn market. We stayed during the summer so it's good to have 2 fans provided to ease the heat.
Cons: 1) the water temperature of the shower can be quite inconsistent
2) water boiler is rusted inside
3) the main door of the apartment is transparent and outsider can see through the whole house. There's a cloth provided to cover it but it's really troublesome to do so because each other you open the door, it drops and you have to hang it again. Will be a lot easier if it's tinted or covered permanently for privacy.
Other than that, really nice apartment and will definitely stay there again! :)
