Welcome to Heavenly Haven, a gorgeous Methodist Church that was built in 1895 and has been recently restored and converted into a breathtaking living space. Nestled in a hollow in the beautiful mountains of Farmington, WV, next to the East Run creek, you'll find a most unique, peaceful and comfortable stay. This home has all of the modern amenities you would expect in a new home, yet retains lots of it's original charm. Welcome to almost heaven!
The space
The master bedroom has a king size bed and a full bath that includes a double vanity, tub and shower. The spare bedroom has a queen size bed and is located next to the hall bath with shower.
The loft has 2 twin beds, a 2nd living room, TV, chess table, office desk and chair, 6 top table for puzzles and games, tons of books, games, puzzles, records and CD's and record player that also plays CD's, radio and bluetooths to your phone.
The downstairs living room has seating for all of your guests, a TV and a piano from another local church in Fairmont. There are tons of hymnals and sheet music in the piano bench and also in the piano bench in the foyer. Please fill this church up with music 🎶🎵!!
The dining table seats 6 and includes a pew from the same church that the piano came from and the pulpit and attendance board in the foyer.

The kitchen is stocked with just about everything you can think of, including all new stainless steel appliances. The refrigerator has filtered water and ice. There is a crock pot, microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, mini oven, toaster and tons of pots, pans, baking dishes, cups, plates, utensils, etc.
There is a coffee, tea and wine bar for you to enjoy that is made from an 1800's pump organ that came from a church in OH. There is a Keurig, coffee pot, tea pot and electric water pot available. Coffee, tea, creamer and sugars are provided.
The patio has a 6 top table and a charcoal grill. The charcoal is not provided. The utensils for the grill are found on the shelf to the right of the refrigerator. Please clean out the grill if you use it.
There is also a fire pit with 6 chairs by the creek that you can also cook on, with either charcoal or wood... neither are provided, so you will need to bring your own. There is also a picnic table provided beside the creek as well.
Bocce Balls are provided and are in the hall closet to be played outside. There is also a yoga mat and 15 lbs hand weights.
There is a low profile septic system that takes up the majority of the yard, so please do not park or drive on any part of the yard or you will damage the septic system.
Please note: there is no where to turn around with a trailer of any sort so you will not be able to tow anything to this property.
There is a stackable washer and dryer provided. There is also a step stool if you have trouble reaching the dryer controls up top. Please make sure to leave the washing machine door open when you are done with your laundry so that it can dry out, if not, it will continue to beep at you until you open it.
This property is located in Farmington, WV and is just 2 min from all of your shopping needs such a groceries, gas, food, etc in Mannington to your left and Farmington to your right as you leave the church. It is also about 15 minutes to Fairmont with ton's of shopping, restaurants and the interstate. There are also several ponds close by for fishing and 3 golf courses nearby. Valley Falls State Park, Grafton State Park and Cooper's Rock State Park are within a short drive. Historical Prickett's Fort State Park is located in Fairmont and is where you will also access the Rail Trail on foot or bicycle, that will take you all the way to Morgantown and to the PA line. There is also another rail trail called the West Fork River trail that will take you all the way to Shinnston.
Fairmont also has the Tygart Valley River for all of your boating and fishing needs. Palatine Park is located on the river front on the east side of Fairmont and offers free summer concerts that are amazing, a splash park and a boat ramp with dock.

Guests have access to the entire home, except for the owners closet that remains locked during your stay.
Other things to note
The home is not suitable for children or pets. No smoking inside of any kind. No visitors allowed... only those on the reservation. The home is priced for 4 guests to keep the costs down for smaller reservations. The 5 and 6th guest will be charged an additional $25 each per night.
