About this listing
Only 7 km from center of Copenhagen. Close to beach, lake, forest, amusement parks etc. Train and buss very near, free car parking. Separate entrance, private bathroom + large room with garden view with nice danish family. We can help you with tips on sightseeing, shopping, dining, nightlife, and much more!
Pernille was there when I arrived and made sure I knew my way around Gentofte and what convenience stores were available and restaurants close by.
Gentofte is a suburban part of Copenhagen, about 20-30 min by bus (buses 150S, 184 and 94N from Copenhagen C) or 40-45 min by bike from Central Copenhagen with busses going at least until late evenings. The S-train is a brisk morning walk away (email hidden) or Gentofte St but you could bike to them pretty easily, I walked to Vangede St every day in 20 min.
I stayed for 4 weeks and I can only regret I didn't stay longer. The private room is huge, adjacent to a private WC and shower and close to almost all of Copenhagen.
Thank you very much Andreas, Pernille and their daughters!!
We spend an amazing month in their house. The place to sleep is like a private house in their house, we had all we needed and they were available all the time for our requests and help us at all.
Gentofte is also a beautiful town with lakes, beach and stores, but it's a little bit far from the center of copenhagen. We ride our bycicles and it was heavy exercise, but enjoy it. If you want to go to the center by public transportation it's take just 15 min.
We stayed at the apartment for about five months. The place was just perfect for us - it has everything you need. It is also very cozy and comfortable. The location is perfect, as it is a very quiet and friendly neighbourhood, and public transport to the city center is quick and easy. There is a beautiful lake behind the house which is perfect for a walk or running. Pernille and Andreas are the loveliest people and helped us whenever we needed anything. All in all it was a perfect stay at a perfect place! I can definitely recommend the apartment to anyone looking for a nice place close to Copenhagen.
We stayed at Pernille & Andreas' place for about a month while working at our office at DTU SCION. We absolutely loved the comfort and privacy of the large room we had at our disposal. Everything worked out perfectly, we even cooked simple meals, watched netflix on our computers (they have great WIFI and wired internet). For such a long stay I would definitely recommend this place as it feels like a real studio, with dining table, bed & sofa, as well as kitchenette.
You have your own private door to go in/out of the basement where the room is. Its warm, nice and dry. In the hallway we have a bathroom with shower along with washer/drier. In the morning/evening we were the only ones using the bathroom, but I suppose Pernille & Andreas were using the washer/drier during the daytime - we never ran into them!
All in all, this felt like our own place - just what we needed in a hectic period of work.
Pernille and Andreas are the most calm and friendly people I met during my stay in Denmark.
I stayed for one month in their place, during my last month of my student project at DTU.
I had my very own apartment, with my own entrance, bath and a fully equipped kitchenette. The room is tidy, large and very hyggeli (Danish word for cozy, laid-back :) ).
Their house is exactly on the bike way to DTU, so I could take a cup of coffee in the morning, put my bike on the street, close my eyes for another 15 minutes and wake up exactly at the DTU. It is also very near to grocery shops and a beautiful lake, almost in their "backyard".
Pernille, Andreas and their kids are very calm, and I could work in the room perfectly. On the other hand, I could always contact them for any questions and worries I had. They answered immediately during the organisation and the stay itself. They helped me a lot regarding the formalisms, which have to be regarded as a long term resident in Denmark.
All in all, they always made sure I have a pleasant time in their place and hopefully, we will see us in Munich someday. Without any doubt, I would recommend them for any student or people searching for a nice place for their holidays.
My fiancé and I stayed one month at Andreas and Pernille's home and our stay there was great. We had a whole apartment inside the house with our own entrance and it was fully equipped. It also had a good location, close to transportation to Copenhagen, supermarkets and good shops in Gentofte. The apartment in itself is very comfortable and warm, and with a few candle lighted up you can easily feel the Danish hygge. But, what is definitely worth mentioning is the kindness and dedication of our hosts, Andreas and Pernille. They are a great family and they always made sure we were feeling comfortable in the apartment. They also helped us with every aspect of our new life in Denmark. For all these reasons, we wholeheartedly recommend them without any reserve.
About the Host, Pernille & Andreas
we are a family with mom, dad and two girls, age 6 and 11. Our home and garden is important to us, and we spend a large part of our sparetime there. If you visit with children, we are sure they will be invited to jump the XL trampoline, use the swings or the slide in the backyard. We are up early every day, leaving for school and work, and settle in with the kids on the 1. floor around 20:30 in the evening. The room/apartment is in the basement, so we won´t disturb you. We speak danish, english, swedish, german, and italian :)
