Your home away from home includes your own suite of 2 bedrooms, a beautiful kitchen & living area, & bathroom. The home is in a quiet, safe & friendly neighborhood with scenic hiking trails just out the back door. There are several shopping complexes less than 2 miles away. Amenities include high end linens, HD cable pkg, broadcast networks, Netflix & Amazon Prime. 5 min off of I-5 freeway, approx. 15 min to downtown Portland, 10 min to Lewis & Clark college.

The space
We are conveniently located just 15 minutes from downtown Portland (can be longer during rush hour) and only 5 minutes from freeway access. As we are centrally located, Mt. Hood skiing, the Columbia River gorge and the Willamette Valley wine country are all only about one hour away - just in different directions! The central location and great neighborhood is a huge draw as to why people want to live here!

The suite is a great setting for both business & leisure travelers with high speed WiFi. Many of our guests are people coming to Lake Oswego to visit their family and friends!

Relax and enjoy a private secluded wing in the lower level of our home. (We live on the upper level.) The space includes two bedrooms, a private bath and a beautiful kitchen with granite counter tops, cherry cabinets, hardwood floors, and stainless appliances (dishwasher, gas range, and full size refrigerator and lots of counter space!)

The great room is voice controlled with digital lighting so if you want to turn on any of the lights, you just speak the command! "Turn on Kitchen lights, 50%!" The good old fashioned light switches work as well!

We request that our guests sleep on the beds provided (not on the sofa). If a third bed is desired (floor mattress or camping pad), there is an additional $25 per night fee.

The suite has air-conditioning, but is centrally managed. The suite has its own thermostat for heating.

The property is in a safe, quiet neighborhood, yet centrally located in the greater Portland area.

In our upscale neighborhood you can walk through the forest on about 15 miles of paved trails surrounding our home. The tree lined street is quiet and peaceful. New Seasons, a grocery store with an abundance of organic food choices, is about 1 mile away. Other stores/shops include Starbucks, a nail salon, Columbia Outlet store, etc.

Kruse Village, about 5 minutes away in the Meadows Road financial services center of Lake Oswego, is a restaurant hub spanning 5 acres with many choices to delight your palette. And just down Meadows Road from there is Hunan Pearl, our favorite Chinese restaurant!

We are an empty nester couple who love to travel. We have used Airbnb all throughout the US as well as in other countries. More recently we have enjoyed spending time in the Balkans. We love to greet our guests upon arrival and be available to answer any questions. We want this to be a place you will always want to return to. However, since your space is on the lower part of the home (with a separate entrance) and we live on the upper level, if you want your privacy, we may not see you at all!
