The space
Tucked into a secluded, fenced-in corner of a small hobby cattle farm, this luxury tent offers peace, privacy, and the occasional friendly “moo.” Across the farm you’ll see an old farmhouse and red barn built in 1860. The house is uninhabited, and the barn stores small farm equipment and feed.
Inside the tent you’ll find a queen bed, futon, end tables, and warm lighting create a relaxing retreat. A short stroll under bistro lights leads to the bathhouse, where spa-like amenities await. Step outside to take in the countryside, where cows and goats graze — a charming reminder you’re far from the everyday bustle.
On warmer nights, unzip the three interior windows and front tent wall to let in fresh country air flow through the screens. For chillier evenings, enjoy the electric fireplace and temperature-controlled heated mattress pads on both the queen bed and futon (adjustable by both temperate and duration) keeping you toasty even when outside temperatures dip into the 30s. A dehumidifier inside maintains humidity for a dry, restful stay. The tent does not have air conditioning, so the temperature inside the tent is comparable to the outside temperature.
Nestled between the historic Eastern Shore towns of Easton and Denton, guests can explore unique shops, museums, and restaurants, or venture outdoors for nearby hiking, biking, and fishing.
Guest access
Guests are free to use all area inside the fence. Guests can also go for walks down the two-mile dirt road. Please do not enter the wooded areas.
Other things to note
Running water: During the colder months (depending on the weather, usually December-March) running water for the sinks and shower may be unavailable due to freezing temperatures.
Hot-shower: The shower provides hot water with the turn of the shower handle, but the propane tank behind the bathhouse must be turned on first. After your shower, please turn off the propane tank.
Water-closet: The bathhouse has an RV/camper toilet. Pull the top lever to dispense water. Pull lever below seat to open toilet drain.
Fireplace: If using the electric heating fireplace during your stay, please ensure it is only plugged into the yellow extension cord suitable for high aperage. Use of additional space heaters inside the tent is strictly prohibited. Please inquire if you have any specific questions regarding heating available inside the tent.
Fire pit: There is a wood fire pit for guests to use. Minimal firewood is provided for the fire pit, but feel free to bring as much as you’d like. Please do not have large fires. Do not have fires in strong winds. Please check for burn bans prior to use.
DO NOT remove burned logs or ashes from the fire pit.
Mini-fridge: There is a mini-fridge inside the tent for guests to use during their stay.
Pets: We love furry friends, but let us know if you’re bringing a pet when you make your reservation. For everyone’s safety, pets should always be within your sight and under control. Our hobby farm has other animals roaming outside the fenced areas, and the nearby cow pasture fence may occasionally carry a light electric charge. Thank you for keeping your pets safe and happy!
This is a glamping experience! That being said, you are still outdoors and in a tent. There will be bugs and wildlife! We clean and make ready for our guests the day of check-in to try to assure that it is as clean as possible!
