Our cabin is a mix of Rustic and Modern and a is truly a hidden Gem! It is a 1953 loft homestead cabin at the end a dirt road on top of a hill with stunning views overlooking Joshua trees and boulders with no one behind it. It is serene with few neighbors. Renovated by a local artist it features modern conveniences such as mini-splits for AC and heat and a multi-jet state of the art shower. There is a wood burning fireplace for chilly nights.

The space
Built in 1953 as a homestead cabin, the cabin was renovated by a local artist- craftsman. It features 14 foot ceilings and upstairs loft style bedroom which is accessed by a spiral staircase. There is a state of the art steam shower/sauna in the bathroom. The cabin is perfect for a romantic get away from city-life while still being an easy drive to Joshua Tree National Park, Pappy and Harriet's and other high desert attractions. The fold out couch could sleep a third person if necessary for an extra $50 per night but please let me know ahead of time if you plan to have a third person. The cabin is ideally suited for TWO PEOPLE . The area is surrounded by vistas of pristine land, boulders, and Joshua Trees and is quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils and dishes. The bathroom has a custom made wood sink made by a known local Joshua Tree artist. There is a wood burning fireplace and a mini splits- both for AC and heating. The cabin is eclectic in decor, filled with art and is very cozy and inviting.

The cabin is in an area that is very quiet and peaceful with few homes around it. It is the last house on a well-maintained dirt road with views looking out into the desert including Joshua trees and beautiful rock formations. The few nearby homes are charming old homesteads. The cabin upstairs deck is situated for perfect stargazing, beautiful desert vistas, and for a quiet retreat The area surrounding the cabin has been untouched and is a wildlife corridor including rabbits, quail, hawks, bobcats, coyotes, and even desert tortoises which can be spotted. Great views from all sides of the cabin, with a large upstairs covered western-facing balcony for watching the magnificent desert sunsets. There is also a lower outside area perfect for lounging in the hammock or eating outdoors.

I love the high desert! I have been coming up here for over 12 years. I am an artist and have created a wonderful community of friends who are musicians and artists here too. The beauty, the serenity and the energy all contribute to my love for it. I purchased this incredible homestead cabin 12 years ago and lovingly had it restored by a local craftsman and artist. It is a little piece of paradise and I am so fortunate to be able to share it with others. Desert Shadows Oasis, my other listing is a lovely 3 bedroom house in Monument Manor, a highly coveted area one mile from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. Both homes have been restored with great love and detail. Please check them both out. Thank you.
