There are quite a few places marketed under The6Apt banner. Be sure you have the right one. It can be confusing there are a number of different apartments in different locations.
I suspect we stayed in the original building when this concept was conceived. It is housed on the third floor with six apartments. The face or person you will deal with is Ian - very responsive.
As other reviews have indicated, it is located in a trendy area close to MRT. My first impression was that room 3c had a nice street-facing balcony. It is also very small. If you study the photos carefully, you will see there is no bathroom door. The bathroom is set behind the bed separate by plate glass. So there are privacy issues if there is more than one per on. The other feature I must dear attention to is the mattress or lack thereof. Both my partner and I found it very hard and uncomfortable. It seemed to be more like a base. As worn-out travellers, there is nothing more welcoming than a comfortable bed.
I don't understand why Ian does not put in a comfortable mattress. It is not that expensive. So if you willing to put up with discomfort for six nights, you pay a very decent rate. Note there is a common washing machine set at the back outside the room. But there is limited space to hang your cloths and the dryer does not work. Lastly, the apartment could do with a better clean up job which is included with the fee.
With the expectation I carried, the relatively lower price I paid and superb location, the room was ok, to be fair. For those who expects a hotel like experience, and you should stick with traditional hotels, cos both hardware and software here is so different by comparison.
Extremely convenient area! Right in the middle of the most happening area in Taipei. Great price and perfect for 2 people!
The room was small but reasonably comfortable. Though we both felt the bed was extremely hard. It could have been a bit cleaner but overall it wasn't too bad.
We did come back to the room one night and found the bathroom drain was overflowing. Despite it being quite late, the host responded very quickly and had the bathroom fixed in a matter of hours.
All in all given the price and very central location, we found it to be satisfactory to our needs.
Ian brought a heater by. It really warmed up the space. Thank you!
Great location, very very near to mrt, cafes/restaurants and convenience stores. There's an awesome cafe called Stay Real behind the apartment, a yummy local beef noodle (halal) around the corner and an authentic and delicious Korean restaurant down the street. Room is cosy and tidy, like what you see in the pics. It (email hidden) with lotsa local and movie channels, a mini fridge and a hair dryer. Wifi is also avail. Bathroom has very good shower pressure, has water heater too. But the bathroom has no door so the cold draft was unavoidable and the tiles are showing some signs of old age. Room has no heater but Ian offered to get us one (but we didn't wanna trouble him so we didn't turn on the air con instead). Room has a pretty little balcony but the weather was too cold (12 deg) and wet (it rained everyday) for us to enjoy the view. Nonetheless, not a bad experience at all and Ian was responsive (via calls; when he couldn't pick up our calls, he called us back immediately). We had a late night flight and he allowed us to store our luggage in the laundry room. Thanks Ian!
Great location, perfect for the local shops and cafes.
Ian's place was very conveniently located, just a minute's walk from the mrt and in the heart of the city! There was an instance where we were locked out, but Ian was very helpful and settled the matter quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended, especially for the price you pay!
Greet location! Would totally stay here again. Clean and simple.
Nice and helpful cleaning lady and very good location.
However the address shown on the page is not correct.
The host is not very responsive and helpful. Waited for more than half an hour but still no one show up to give us the keys
