About this listing
Hello! We are Jon and Anna. We have a lovely Garden Flat on a quiet street, which we are renting out. It is also available for permanent rent.
It has one bedroom, a sitting room, a kitchen, a newly renovated Victorian style bathroom and a garden!
Garden Flat in Upper Holloway. One bedroom, sitting room, kitchen, a newly renovated Victorian style bathroom and a garden!
The bed is super comfy (I know that, as we used to live downstairs and this was our bed) and the kitchen is fully equipped.
If you want to cook in your flat, you can. Everything works and should you need anything in particular you can ask us. We just don't have a coffee machine.
We have all the supermarkets in walking distance. Waitrose, Morrisons, M&S, Tesco and Sainsbury's. Also Corner Shops as well as a Kebap Place and an authentic Italian Restaurant which we can recommend.
There is enough space to fit in 3 people, but at the moment there is only one big double bed.
We do have an extra double airbed and a third person could always sleep on the sofa, if you are just staying for a couple of nights/ weekend. But it is not a real sleeping Sofa, therefore not the most comfortable option. If you visit with a little child, we don't charge extra.
In case you will be staying for a longer period and pay rent monthly, you are more than welcome to welcome a guest for a weekend. However, if your guest is staying for longer, we would charge extra. Please let us know in advance.
The Deposit is £120, if you are only planning to stay up to 10 nights. Due to the website we are limited to adjust the deposit, once an inquiry has been sent. If you wish to stay for a longer period we would need to discuss a safety deposit beforehand.
We are both collectors and love photos, books, paintings, old furniture, loads of random stuff. We'll be happy if you enjoy our flat as much as we do!

Interaction with Guests
You will have our phone numbers and email addresses, which we will check regularly. Unless we are not on a holiday we will be staying upstairs in our home and if you need anything you can always knock on the door and ask us,
London is a very big city, but we are still quite central and have great parks in walking distance. Such as Hampstead Heath.
Upper Street is only 15 minutes by bus, which means you have great restaurants nearby. We also have direct buses to Dalston, Shoreditch and Stoke Newington. If you wanted to head West the Piccadilly Line will get you there directly....or you could walk along the Canal. If you are good on foot you can also walk into the city center. It is about 4 miles or 15 minutes by tube (door to door, including walking 25-30 minutes). We always bike.
We live off Holloway Road in Upper Holloway. Tube Stations are Holloway Road (Piccadilly Line, dark blue), Finsbury Park (Victoria Line, light blue) and Tufnell Park or Archway (Northern Line, black). There is also an Overground Station, Upper Holloway and Finsbury Park. There are always buses that stop in 2 min. walking distance. Very easy to find!
There is off street parking outside our house, but you need a permit, which you can purchase at the city council of Islington. However you can park for free between 6pm and 7am. Sundays are free of charge.
Other Things to Note
We live upstairs and you can always ask, if you need anything! We love to cook and go out to restaurants. I have really good books about London, get regular updates of museums and music venues and can suggest loads of good restaurants. We are not paying for a TV license at the moment, but we can provide a screen, which you could connect to your computer in order to watch movies. We also have a lot of DVDs and boardgames...in case London welcomes you with rain!
You are welcome in our house and we are more than happy to provide information and help out where we can, just treat the flat with respect and please take care of the plants and the garden.
-Water the Plants
-Double lock the Main Door at all times.
-If you leave the Flat, make sure we are not locked out (tell us when you leave, so that we can make arrangements for the keys).
The Deposit is £120, if you are only planning to stay up to 10 nights. Due to the website we are limited to adjust the deposit, once an inquiry has been sent, which means you will be charged a very little deposit, even if you are staying for a few months. In that case we would need to discuss a safety deposit beforehand. In case you will be staying for a longer period and pay rent monthly, you are more than welcome to welcome a guest for a weekend or a few days. However, if your guest is staying for longer, we would charge extra. We understand Air BnB as holiday rental and charge per person. Please let us know in advance.
If you happen to break something, we will charge you/ or would like you to replace it.
If something in the house breaks, let us know. Don't fix it yourself :)
This was my second summer staying at Jon and Anna's place...and it was perfect, once again! :) It was nice to come back to such a comfortable, cozy, quiet place that felt like home each evening, and to enjoy the beautiful garden after busy days in London. Everything is just as described (and even nicer, more lovely in person!) and I was sad to leave again at the end of my stay! :)
I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend my time in London! Spent around 7 weeks at Jon and Anna's and it is the loveliest of flats, I didn't want to leave! Beautifully furnished and THE comfiest bed! And the garden was such a beautiful addition! I was welcomed with flowers and chocolates, and both hosts were easy to contact and co-operate if I needed them- with that being said, I was also left very much to my own devices which was perfect for me! The street and area was great, with allsorts nearby and with the tube line running into central London very quickly! Overall I had an amazing stay at their lovely home, and I would stay again without a doubt. I'd recommend this place to any person or couple who are in need of a cosy but stylish place in a fab location! Thank you Jon & Anna!
We stayed in Anna and Jon's garden flat for about a month when we moved to London. They were great hosts and were quick to respond when we had questions. The flat is very nice, true to the pictures, and well connected. The garden is lovely!
We stayed in the garden flat for over a month when we first moved to London. Jon & Anna are very gracious hosts and the flat was exactly as shown in the photos. Great location with many grocery and transport options.
Staying at Jon and Anna was as pleasant as it could have been. The apartment was super cute and cosy with lots of light and the night sleep was very quiet. Jon and Anna welcomed us with lily flowers and chocolate bonbons and had been super helpful and very approachable throughout our staying. Jon and Anna are those kind of people one would enjoy being neighbours with.
Jon and Anna were super friendly and I had an incredible experience. When I arrived I was greeted with chocolates, biscuits and fresh flowers. Does it get better than that?
The flat was very clean and really cozy. I loved the decor and the backyard was a major perk! I would definitely recommend staying here. Theres also a great little pub on the corner... :)
I stayed at Jon & Anna's for over a month. The flat is beautiful and tastefully done (true to the images) with lots of natural light. Jon & Anna are warm people and very approachable. They responded immediately to my questions and requests and made my stay very comfortable. The area is safe, quiet and well connected.
