A cozy little place. Quiet, yet only a short walk to town or the beach.

This was a great stay! We loved the perfect size and location. It is close to town and was very easy to find based off the directions we were given. It was very kind that the house came with salt, pepper, tea and oil. Great fluffy towels and very sweet owner. Also, the free bikes were a huge perk! It wasn't a big deal but be aware you will hear howling monkeys quite a bit. We are in the jungle of course!

This place was very secluded but still close to the beach! We enjoyed our stay here!

A real east coast experience. At night when the rain storms come in the thunder shakes the house and the howler money's run across the ceiling hootin and hollering. IT IS SO COOL! The little cabana is all you need. It's a five minute walk on rocky road to the national park (which is donation based) I recommend getting there early to enjoy the full day there because they start rounding up people around 4 to close the park. Plus more wild life in the morning. But the host is so lovely and helpful with the bus to get back to San Jose... which is totally worth it! And the bus stop is another 5 minute walk. The town itself is very small and quiet. So this is perfect for a romantic getaway. Use the bikes to go to the restaurant Sobre las Olas... beautiful and delicious. Cold showers, but most are in Costa Rica. The host lives on the property about 20 yards away.

We had a very nice stay at the cabin. It's a bit hidden so you have to keep an eye to find it! Jackie was there to help us with check in and give us instructions, everything was quite easy. As described, the cabin is very close to the Cahuita National Park, which is absolutely beautiful, and to supermarkets and restaurants. We cooked some food and felt the kitchen had all the stuff we needed. The bed has a mosquito net which is a must in this area. We also got to see some monkeys on the trees right next to the cabin, and much more wildlife in the vicinity. In general, I think the cabin is great for a couple or solo traveler looking for a comfortable stay while in Limón!

My husband and I stayed in Jackie's place for one week and we really enjoyed it. Cahuita is a lovely small village that one can relax and unwind after few days of travelling. But if you want to explore around Cahuita has a lots to offer. The Cahuita National Park that is literally 250 meters away from the cabin. It is an amazing place full of wide life and jungle trees lined with beautiful playa blanca with calm and warm Carabinen sea. Not just a park is a walking distance from the cabin, the village is also a short walk to as well. Here one will find varieties of restaurants and if eating out is not in your agenda couple of well stocked super markets are near by. We found the cabin very private with everything you need. Indeed it is close to the local gravel road but the surrending trees give it a private feeling. As advertised two bicycles were available to us and we sure got a good use of those exploring the area. Jackie is a lovely host. Giving us a planty of privacy but always on top to check on our needs. We will recommend Jackie's cabin to our friends.

Saw lots of wildlife right in Jackie's yard it was great! We stayed for two weeks and explored the area and made frequent visits to the park. Lots of wildlife in the park ... admission is by donation ... hiking the trail was great. The cabin was comfortable with great wifi.
