I found the place to be exactly as advertised and had a great time during my stay here. Jackie is super-sweet and made sure I was comfortable.
A few things I learned that I wasn't expecting:
Clean towels are provided, but guests are asked not to bring them to the beach.
The supermarket in town exchanges money (USD at least), if you happen to arrive when the bank is closed.
Great little cabin right in the jungle right by the beach really fab value bikes though a little rickety were a great bonus - highly recommend
I really liked this place, and Cahuita generally. Jackie was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The cabin porch is really comfy and I love that hammock. We had everything we needed here to relax and feel comfortable. The cabin is a very short walk to the main downtown drag in Cahuita, and right when you get to pavement again (the cabin is up a short gravel road) there is a beachfront bar to one side and a super mercado to the other. We saw a sloth in the tree across the street our first morning here, and then walked out to Cahuita National Park, where we saw Capuchin monkeys and another sloth. This place is very walkable, and unless you want to drive to an attraction like the Sloth Sanctuary or the Jaguar Rescue, you won't need your rental from check-in to check-out.
I had a wonderful time at Jackie's cozy little cabin. The lovely Jackie very kindly met me at the bus station. The cabin itself has everything you need for an independent stay including a coffee maker! The bed is nice and comfy, it's great knowing Jackie is nearby too. Cahuita NP is beyond beautiful (which is only 2-3 min cycle away) and Cahuita itself is great if you're looking for somewhere undeveloped and chilled with a friendly atmosphere.
Jackie helped make our first trip to Costa Rica an easy-going experience! The cottage was adorable and so close to town, the beach, the park, and the bus stop (and more). We were given bikes but things were so close to the cabin, we mostly walked. There was a sloth hanging out within view of the cottage and so much wildlife around! It was amazing.
Very cute room and property and the care taker Sabine was delightful. We saw a sloth in the trees from our porch and enjoyed the jungle atmosphere. It is a short walk to the town/
Beach but having the bikes was also nice.
