Tadahiro is a great host. He picked us up at train station and made delicious breakfast for us. The house is big and is traditional Jap-style. Highly recommend to anyone who want to have a taste of quiet Japanese lifestyle.

The host and wife are very nice and kind. We family like them and respect them to run such a business. The breakfast was great, mixed with oriental and western style food. And we are really appreciated. However, to be a bnb place, they are far yet professional. 1) No clear entering room guide: The host would like to pickup but missed due to poor communication. I called and no answering. We arrived by taxi ended up standing outside and asked the neighbor to call again. 2) Four shared rooms got 10 guests a time but sharing 1 bath 1 toilet. 3) Rooms are old and don't seem being cleaned every time after the guests leave. There are no clean bedding sheets changed or provided. The comforter/blankets are piled up for picking up and use by the guests. No heat in the room, but electric-heating mat are provided. Some good experience are, the courtyard is neat, the rooms are full of traditional elements, the host is so kind to pickup and dropoff from/to the station. Every guest signed the guest book. Some suggestion: if people really like to see the original Japanese house/room, normal people/life, and like to meet more different people under one roof, it's a good place for a short stay. If you want to find a clean, fairly-reasonable-price, hotel like room in Nara, I'd suggest stay in Kyoto or Osaka and take trains for day trip. We are thankful the host's hospitality. I suggest the host can remodel some rooms especially the bathroom.

Mr. Fukusumi is great! Had a nice stay with him, very kind and accommodating.. came to the station to pick us up, even though our train was delayed. Very close to a lot of nice tourist attractions in Nara.

Tadahiro was a very nice person. He was very kind and offered us a really nice and abundant breakfast. However the place was not as we expected (neither from the pictures nor for the fact he is a superhost). We were four people and he kindly offered to be in separated rooms (as one room was unoccupied). This was very kind from him. However the place was not very well organized, and for instance the bed/tatami clothes and pillows were piled up (not sure how clean they were) and just exposed in the middle of the rooms. We were not sure what we could take or not. We went in October but it was pretty cold, also inside the house. Tadahiro however did not allow us to put the heating, demanding otherwise a fee (did not specify how much, but the heating was supposed to be included). The tatamis were not fully clean and in our room were some pijamas hanging around. Communication with him was not bad but sometimes difficult to understand, although we understand the language barrier in Japan. It was not a disaster, but definitely it wasn't or nicest or most comfortable stay in an Airbnb place.

The host is very kind. He will take a ride for U if convenient. The house is an old building, U can feel the history. And hearty breakfast will be served.
