Interaction with Guests
I'm always interested to talk to the guests we have here but find that usually it's nice to chat a bit and then people like to get on with their holiday or work - whichever works is fine with me!
We're very close to Bermondsey Street with all it's cafes and shops and the new White Cube Gallery. Tate Modern is a short walk away and Borough Market just minutes walk, as is the river Thames, Tower Bridge and the newly developed Shard skyscraper and even more locally Bermondsey Square antiques market is every Friday and there is a farmer's market on Saturdays.
The Northern and Jubilee lines both go from London Bridge Station which is minutes away. The overground mainline services to all major London and national destinations, including a direct link to Gatwick airport depart from there. There is also a brand new bus station serving the whole of London from your doorstep.
Other Things to Note

About the Host, Laura
I'm an artist and freelancer. I have a Masters in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College in London and spend half the time working on various projects here in London and further away. The rest of the time I freelance as a model-maker to an opera set designer and for architects. I'm from London but my Mother is Finnish so my sensibilities (including the feel of my home) are noticeably Nordic. I love cooking and chatting and having friends round. Wine of course!
From July 1, Mette and Lars will be looking after the apartment and will host you! Here are their details :)
Hi, my name is Mette. I´m a nurse by background and currently employed by King´s College, where I have been involved in an international research project for the last 18 months. I come from Denmark and am married to Lars who has moved with me to London. Lars has a MA in philosophy and is also an author. We have always enjoyed London as tourists and it's an old dream of ours to live here. Walking and running along the Thames, having a latte in one of the many great cafes in the area or sitting on a bench watching all kinds of people from all parts of the world passing by, are some of our favorite leisure activities.
