Response from Haijing:

When I think back about the time you spent here and having seen your review, my feelings are the same as yours, if not even more furious.

Let's first tackle the issue of the location of my place: As both my description and my map show very clearly, the Hutongs in Beijing are all quite narrow and impossible for taxi's to drive through. From the metro station it’s a 15 minute walk, all the guests that I've had here are people who want to experience the peaceful and quiet side of Beijing. My place is in the center of Beijing city, which is just about the safest place in the whole of China. It's also a place with a long and rich history, so although some parts of it are very old, I would dare to say your descriptions of it are hugely exaggerated.

Regarding the food in the fridge, or the left-overs are you imagined them to be, were things put there by the other guest staying at my home. There are two bedrooms and so two guests can stay at my place, the fridge is shared and not your property alone

As to our communication, even before you arrived I had informed you that I work during the day, and should you want to be picked up from the metro station you would have to wait until 7 in the evening. Your reply, then, was that it's too late and there would be no need to pick you up.

The problem of how to get to my place is even more ludicrous, I have sent you my address, both in Chinese and English. You asked me again 3 times about it and when we talked communicated before (through AirBnB and by telephone) you never even once mentioned you cannot read (including both Chinese and English), and you actually kept it as a secret that you can speak Chinese. When I went to see you, you suddenly used very fluent Chinese berating me for I don't know how long, so of course after that I would use Chinese to talk to you too since it's my native tongue. Since you understand Chinese and even used it to berate me, how come I can't use Chinese? How is that fair? I've been a landlord for my place for more than a year now, and you are the first guest so far that has made me sick to my stomach
