Overall Guest Satisfaction

  • We really enjoyed our stay with David. We attended an event at the Hydro and the location was great. Glasgow is easy enough to get around and taxis are very affordable, so the location was also good to see the rest of the city.

The flat itself is really cool - clean, everything is high quality, good lighting, and nice seating areas. The king-sized bed was great.

David and his wife (Jenny - sorry if wrong spelling) were very kind and helpful, willing to chat, and willing to help figure out things to do or how to get there.

If visiting Glasgow, this place is highly recommended, and we would definitely stay there again if we return! Thanks David.

  • I made this reservation for my daughter. My daughter just loved this place and the host and hostess! She came in on an early morning flight and had to leave on an early morning flight as well. David was so kind and thoughtful and picked her up and dropped her off at the airport. Both bedroom and bathroom were spacious. The room came with a big sized bed. The balcony in the bedroom allowed a lot of light into the bedroom and even had a view of the River Clyde. The place is within walking distance to Glasgow city center, and various city sights and venues, restaurants and bars. It is also on the main bus route for the Hop-Off and Hop-Off Glasgow. They served breakfast and David even made brownies for snack once! With its central location, room with a private bathroom, your own balcony with a view, hospitable and caring host and hostess, who could ask for anything more!

  • What an excellent introduction to Airbnb! The accommodation is extensive and elegant, the bedroom and sitting room having patio windows opening out onto a floral balcony overlooking the river. The large sitting room is beautifully furnished with sofas and a giant TV screen. The dining end is equipped with microwave, electric kettle and toaster and a fridge filled with everything for a delicious continental breakfast.
The city centre is within walking distance so no need to sort out public transport.
Warm and comfortable, this accommodation is everything one could wish for. I shall stay longer on my next visit.

  • This was an excellent place to stay in Glasgow, near to the centre and overlooking the river. Great quality room, en suite and living room and very peaceful. Our host was helpful and unobtrusive. Highly recommended

  • Staying with David was my first airbnb experience and it couldn’t have been any better!

The en-suite room is impressively big, bright during the day, dark during the night, very clean and offers a nice view on the River Clyde. The bed is very comfy, the bathroom offers a powerful, yet silent shower and you get access to the lounge where you have an ample breakfast every morning. David was so kind as to offer even a cooked breakfast and other warm meals as well.

Shortly after arrival, David provided us with a lot of information on what to do in Glasgow and he took a lot of time to answer all of our questions. Thanks to him we got some nice insights into Scottish lifestyle. On one evening he offered us to taste from his selection of whiskies and wines.

For those travelling to Glasgow by bus and arriving at Buchanan Bus station: Bus 100 (First Bus company) runs from George Square and stops close to the accommodation (travel time approx. 5 min). The City Sightseeing Bus stops nearby as well (<5 min walk). Those who fancy a nice walk to the city centre will arrive there within 10 – 15 minutes.

Overall, the flat’s standard is exceptional and the modern furniture is of a very high standard. I’d loved to stay longer. I think you wouldn’t be able to get more for your money and whenever I get back to Glasgow, David will be the first person I’d ask to stay with.

  • Jenny and David were perfect hosts and made us feel at home.
They have a beautiful home and anything you needed for your stay was there and more. It felt like wee had rented a flat not a room and you dont get that for the sort of money we payed anywhere. The house is within walking distance to the SECC. I will definitely be booking another stay in the near future.

  • Brilliant stay. David and Jenny are such lovely hosts and their home is great. I've used airb&b quite a lot over the last 12 months and I really think this is up there as the best experience I've had. Thanks so much to you both. Recommended !

Professional couple with 2 extra rooms available now that the adult kids have flown the nest. We stay in a lovely flat in a great location and it is good to share it whilst earning a bit of extra money too! Hope you don't mind a noisy African grey parrot, but she is part of our family and will enjoy your company as much as you enjoy hers! The flat is south facing, and has a beautiful balcony/terrace overlooking the River Clyde and is therefore terrific on the rare Scottish warm days!
