  • This was a delightful place to stay and relax! Linda was a marvelous host and the property was clean, comfortable, and quiet, as well as close to lots of things to do and see. My friends and I agree that we would stay there again any time. Highly recommended.

    Response from Linda:

    Hi Nan
Thank you for the feedback, the microwave instructions are on top of the microwave, but I will leave them for heaters and oven. And no problems leaving the bits in the fridge.
Yes we would love to come and visit, thank you
Thank you for the lovely review

  • My father and I rented Linda's cottage in September of 2013. It was the third time I used Airbnb, and while all three experiences had been pleasant, this was the best by leaps and bounds.

The cottage is exactly as pictured and described--immaculately clean, bright, spacious, cozy, and fully equipped. Everything worked and not one problem arose. The beds were comfortable, showers were hot, kitchen facilities functioned as you'd expect, and the wifi worked well (signal was spotty on ground floor but perfect in the bedroom and loft). The grounds too were tranquil, charming, and well manicured.

Location is great for touring the medieval towns that dot the region. Mont Saint Michelle is minutes away, so close in fact that you can see it in the distance from just right around the corner. Even the invasion beaches and the charming town of Bayeux with its awe-inspiring cathedral are close. A supermarket in Pontorson is ten minutes away and can serve all your basic needs. It's the perfect spot for touring the area.

On top of all that, Linda was a gracious, accommodating, and pleasant host. Her instructions on finding the cottage were clear and simple to follow. She is quick to respond and never hard to contact. It was a joy talking to her each morning as she scuttled about, taking care of her chickens or showing us the property. I felt comfortable and welcomed from the very second I passed through her gate and knew instantly that we had found the right place to stay.

I couldn't gush enough about our time at Linda's cottage. I don't feel my words or review can quite describe how relaxing and charming our time was. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in the area, look no further.

My only complaint is that I had to leave.

Thank you VERY much. It would have been great if you could have stayed longer but glad you enjoyed the time you had here. Hope to see you again one day

I was born in south east London. After years of living abroad and travelling I eventually settled down with an Englishman! We have been living in France since 1999. My job changed from working in an office to builders helper and roofer! I love trying to keep fit by going to Zumba and cycling.
