The Space

Former Cumbrian farmhouse - the date above the door says 1740 - in Long Marton, near Appleby-in-Westmorland, on the East Fellside of the Eden Valley in Cumbria. As the name suggests, it is situated in the middle of the village, next to a well-run pub serving excellent meals.

Long Marton is 3 miles from Dufton and the Pennine Way (we are happy to arrange transport for walkers) and only a slight detour off the National Cycle Route 68. It is also on the route of Lady Anne's Way. Easy access to the Pennines, the Lake District and perfect to break a journey to Scotland (Glasgow and Edinburgh approximately 2 hours). The village is just off the A66.

Accommodation offered is one double room (can be twin) with en-suite shower and one twin room sharing family bathroom. Dogs welcome. Off road parking and locked space for bicycles and/or motorcycles.

Guest Access

Refreshment trays, WiFi and TV in both rooms. Drying facilities available. Guests welcome to use family living room and/or kitchen if they wish.

Getting Around

There is no convenient public transport through the village.
