Private entrance, gorgeous, beautifully decorated Dupont Apartment with washer and dryer in unit, full kitchen, and all linens provided, just two blocks from THE Dupont Circle.
Just a 20 minute walk from the White House and major monuments! This apartment has amazing walk and transit scores, and is rated as a "walker's paradise!"
Looking for a safe, warm, homey apartment for your stay in Washington? Look no further!
This property is a spacious, simple, and clean ground level red-brick rowhouse apartment on a quiet, tree-lined street. Just steps away from the famous 17th street corridor of markets, small coffee shops and restaurants.
Windows and sunlight from the front living room to the rear and 20 recessed lights on dimmers give this apartment an open, spacious, bright feel during the day and a warm, private feel at night.
Full kitchen and living room, high-speed WIFI, LCD TV with 30+ channels, washer/dryer in-unit, queen sized bed, full sized blow up mattress, sleepable couch and love seat, ample bedding, linens, towels, toilet paper, and paper towels included make this 700 square-foot apartment perfect for you family and friends.
Central air conditioning and heating make the apartment even more comfortable--WARM in the winter and COLD in the summer.
Fully stocked kitchen! Pots, pans, silverware, plates, cups, wine glasses, coffee maker, etc. The kitchen is small but efficient, with everything you'd need to cook a meal. Guests usually like to cook breakfast before heading out into the city!
Centrally located near all the major DC destinations, this house is truly in the middle of it all:
-Two blocks north of Dupont Circle
-Two blocks south of the U-Street corridor
-Two blocks from "Dupont Circle" stop on the Red Line Metro
-Just steps away from a supermarket, wine shop, a dozen restaurants and cafes, and retail clothing stores, art galleries, and several museums
Finally, just a 20-minute walk down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House, Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington, and all other major monuments.
Depends on your budget. Street parking is pretty easy to swing and most of my guests have no trouble moving their car around and finding places on the street to park. However, to park it for the whole time and not worry about it, I'd definitely recommend the garage on New Hampshire Avenue literally a block from the house. It's 15 bucks a day and it really beats moving the car from spot to spot, etc.
Check-in and Check-out:
Check-in and check-out times are from 3PM on and before 12PM (noon), respectively. I try to accommodate any reasonable timing requests if I can.
This is among the safest streets and neighborhoods in DC, and with iron security gates and double locks at the front and rear entrances, and also over the front windows, this is a safe home for your family, as well. Perfect for a family trip, spacious, warm, and comfortable.
I will be on call for the entire length of your stay, you can shoot me a call/text/email at any point and I will respond right away with any questions you might have.
Please book as soon as possible, as spaces fill up quickly, and please email me with any questions!
Safe travels and enjoy your trip to Washington!

Jay's apartment was just perfect for our stay in Washington DC whether for business or pleasure. The location, just a few blocks from Dupont Circle, is central and provides easy access to all parts of the city and a huge choice of restaurants, bars, bookstores and more.
The apartment was super clean and has all the comforts and conveniences one might need for a short or longer term stay.
Jay was a fantastic host and very responsive. I would definitely recommend his place!
We really enjoyed our stay at this 1BR rowhouse and will definitely stay again next time I am in D.C. The room is very functional and cozy. Fully equipped kitchen, clean bathroom, and comfortable beds and sofa. It locates at a quiet street in the heart of the D.C. Within 5 minutes, you can easily walk to subway stations, bus stations, restaurants with different ethnic cuisine focus (American, Italian, Asian, Mediterranean, etc), and stores such as Safeway and CVS. Most importantly, we felt very safe to walk around even at night. Moreover, the host is very attentive. We corresponded through email and texts, and the host was on top of everything. We wanted to have an additional set of sheets after we checked in, and he brought them over within an hour of our request. Again, we will definitely choose to stay at this place next time we visit D.C.
The apartment was perfect for what me and fiance needed. We were in town for a week to iron out details of our upcoming wedding and we were also working remotely for a few days. We needed a place that was near our wedding venue and also metro accessible. It is perfectly located right in the DuPont area, within walking distance to lots of restaurants, coffee shops and bars. We had everything we needed!
Jay was also great - very responsive to our emails before we arrived and everything went as planned. I would definitely recommend the staying here and I would stay here again! Thanks!
Location is excellent, however,
- Internet was so slow as to be practically unusable
- TV didn't work
- house could have used a decent cleaning
- there was no kitchen table
This was our third Airbnb in Washington DC and the second in the Dupont Circle area. We rent apartments because for the freedom and space they provide and because a kitchen gives us the option of eating in instead of going out for all our meals. Well…..
Jay was very quick in responding (albeit with standard e-mail texts) and the key handover went smoothly. The apartment is in a great location. Unfortunately that's it for the good news. It was hard not to slip in front of the house when arriving and departing with our baggage - it was the only icy stretch on the block.
The apartment looked clean when we walked in the door but once we got in it was clear that it had only been given a quick 'once over'. The open areas looked clean, but there was dust in the corners and under all the furniture, dirty moulding in the bathroom, and the fridge and oven weren't clean. We're not super neat freaks but this was not clean.
We rented Jay's place because it was listed as accommodating four. There was very little info in the property description on Airbnb, so from the photo of the living room it seemed logical that one of the two sofas would be a sofa-bed for the extra two people. When we lifted the cushions to check, we found crumbs and a lot of dirt but no sofa-bed. Instead there was a full-sized air mattress, which was too small to comfortably sleep two, so one person had to sleep on the sofa. It was winter and because it's a basement apt. the floor was cold and drafty. There weren't enough blankets to keep both the person on the air mattress and the one on the couch warm. The comforter on the bed in the bedroom smelled like other people, even though the cover was clean.
As far as the kitchen goes, it looked more like someone had moved out in a hurry and forgotten a few things, rather than that it was an apt. that accommodates four. There was a coffee maker and a bit of coffee. We found one dirty, corroded, unusable Teflon pan. There was no kettle or pan to boil water or any way to cook even the simplest meal for four, not enough utensils/dishes to eat it with, and no table to put your plate/glass on. There also weren’t any dish towels. What few kitchen amenities there were, were haphazardly thrown into the drawer and cupboard. Needless to say we were disappointed. We later found another one of Jay's listings with similar complaints among the reviews.
This place is suitable for young students, (a maximum of 2, or maybe 3 in summer), who need few creature comforts and have no desire to use a kitchen for more than making coffee. If you enjoy more than the bare minimum there certainly are better options in this price range.
Thank you for your review Nicolette - there are a lot of novel issues that have been raised here and I am addressing all of them. I remain cheered that this gorgeous property continues to acquire essentially all 5-star reviews in every category in which it can be reviewed. Thanks again for respecting my place and safe travels.
Stay was great, the place was exactly what my girlfriend and I were looking for: private, quiet, great location, and super super clean.
Another big plus is that Jay is a quick and reliable communicator; I had a few questions pretty late in the evening, and he got back to me within minutes.
This apartment is an amazing location walkable to everything you need! Grocery store, great restaurants. Jay was very responsive and helpful. The apartment is very comfortable and I would stay there again.
