I'm renting a simple nice room in our 3rd floor 4bedroom apartment. The apartment is exclusively for travelers. I live down stairs, so I'm very accessible.
The room is 11 by 9 feet. Comes with a full size bed (loft), small couch, and a closet. We give you clean sheets and towels. There is WIFI for people that need to work or if you need to surf the net. Also a laundry and drying unit in the basement if you need to wash your clothes (between 7am and 10pm).
Our building is nestled right in the middle of up and coming bedstuy. The neighborhood has recently added numerous, cafes, restaraunts, and bars. There is a lot to do here, but more peaceful and quiet than the surrounding areas such as Fort Greene and Clinton hill.
5 minutes to the Nostrand avenue station (A/C line). 10 minutes on the subway to downtown manhattan. Very convenient location.
We look forward to meeting you!!
Please treat this like your home. Respect your roommates and keep the place quiet and clean.
Good place to stay in NY, cheap and well ubicated. Cool if you need a place near to MTA, take the express train to Times Sq, Penn or Port Aut, come at Night and get some good rest. Random neighborhood in Brooklyn, not dirty or dangerous streets. Good places for breakfast, nice bars and even 24 hours groceries stores available in a walk time. I absolutely would recommend this place for a stay.
The apartment was clean and the space was good. The loft bed added a lot of square footage to the private room, and the bed was clean and comfy. Randy was a good host and supplied me with wifi and answered his phone when i needed assistance getting in late at night. The apt was close to the subway and there is a great little pizza joint there.
Randy was a good host; answered right away and helped us with our inquiry's and issues.
My first location hosted by Randy was inhabited by roaches. After unsuccessful extermination, he was kind enough to refund for my "remaining days" or apply the dates to another apartment he owned that he would discount to equal the same amount as my first, which is this apartment.
If you are staying for more than a few days I would not recommend this apartment. The desk and chair in the room are broken and unusable. The only way to pull yourself onto the lofted bed is by using the right post, the left board is broken and unstable. The couch is being falsely advertised with the sheet covering, its true appearance is bleach stained with stuffing pouring out of the right arm.
Though Randy refused to fix the issues with the room, he did repair the steps and lights in the living room without warning anyone of the noise or workers that would be in the apartment.
The few pros: Apartment is nicely cleaned every few days, air conditioning works great, and the basement has a washer/dryer that takes quarters. The neighborhood is a nice blend of people and the C/A train is a straight shot to Times Square with about a 30-45 min ride. If you are here for work as I was, there is several great coffee shops with amazing food and free wifi (Corner Grind, The Outpost, and Lunita's). Also, I want to give a shout out to Do or Dine for gourmet chicken and waffles, Bedford Hall for the Tunisian Burger, and Bush Baby for their tacos.
However, I cut my stay short due to the deteriorating condition of the room and apartment environment. I was refunded for my remaining days. I used this apartment as a place to live during my internship, I would only recommend it for people who are staying for a very short amount of time and will always be out of the apartment.
Very nice, friendly, flexible and reliable host! No complaints there. Apartment was clean and with good connections to Manhattan. We had a lovely stay! Only downside: the bed was a little too small for two people to be perfectly comfortable.
We recommend Randy as a host.
Had a great stay at Randy's place which is in a good location near the subway. Randy is a great host, and and the place is clean and comfortable. Recommended!
Thanks again for having me. Yet again a very pleasant stay, no problems what so ever. Really appreciated the addition of the AC which cooled me down in mins. I'll be back again :)
