The host is very friendly and the place is quite nice. He showed me around the place when I was shopping for a place to stay and gave me good directions. Very cozy place to stay at. Kitchen and bathroom are clean and tidy. Great location in Cambridge!
I stayed here for two weeks and as far as I know I never laid eyes on my host, but as advertised he was responsive to texts. When I first arrived I had some trouble getting in. It was dark and it took me a while to find the lockbox, and then the key was not there (it turned out that one of the other guests had it). I texted Ti and he got it squared away. A few days later there was a problem with the shower drain but he got that fixed as well. So basically my advice is to text him if there are any problems.
The location is great, and the area seems very safe to me. The bedroom itself is bare-bones but perfectly adequate. As long as you are not expecting a luxury hotel experience you will be fine. The kitchen is really quite nice and I had no problems with the laundry facilities. Other guests come and go but everybody I interacted with was very pleasant. The Internet was iffy, but that may be a temporary issue.
Although I never met my host, the description and directions provided were very accurate. Also, when I sent him a message after the first night asking for more blankets, he replied promptly. The location was very nice and very convenient for me to get to/from MIT campus for the week.
I'm a regular at Ti's place. As always, top notch service and a very enjoyable stay.
