Menaifron is set within four acres of beautiful countryside on the south of Anglesey. With a walled garden full of fruit trees and vegetables and woodland with its own private path to the beachfront, it's a corner of Wales to fall in love with... And that's before you reach the turret, which looks over to Caernarfon castle and the Snowdonia mountains beyond!
On the beach, you can pick your own mussels - (cooked in half a bottle of wine and consumed with the other half - !) - and when the tide is out, you can take a stunning and incredibly peaceful walk across the sand dunes of the Menai Straits.
A two bedroom cottage, there is a king size bed downstairs, along with a bathroom, a sizeable kitchen with a dining area, and a large living room with a log fire and views of the Straits and surrounding trees. Upstairs is a bedroom with a queen size bed and bunk beds, as well as a bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe. A cot is also available upon request.
Sky and Wireless internet connection are also provided.
Cat's place is really nice, we had everything we needed to prepare some really good dinners at night.Location is perfect to escape from the busy towns and cities so we could relax while our trip around the North of Wales. I would highly recommend staying at her place while visiting the area...surroundings are impressive!
Ceri and Cat both were great - quick to respond to my request and make sure we were able to find the place. The place was comfortable and really nicely located in the country and close to a nearby water front. We used the cottage as a base to explore Anglesey and also very convenient to Snowden and other areas as long as you have a car. Fireplace was nice in the evenings. Kitchen was one of the best equipped of any AirBNB that I have used in the past. Ceri also graciously offered to pick up some groceries for us and was available if we needed anything - even going and getting some kleenex for one of our group who was suffering a cold. Would love to stay again in the future. Thank you to the Coopers.
We contacted Cat within a week of the stay. Cat responded quickly and was extremely helpful, sending detailed directions to the cottage. This beautiful spot is full of character and has all of the amenities you need. Incredibly easy to get to, yet off the beaten path, the property is adjacent to farms and located right on the water on the south-east coast of Anglesey with beautiful views of Caernarfon and the hills of Snowdonia. The cottage is the perfect launch point for all kinds of activities from horseback riding to castle viewing and the hosts made you feel like a part of the family. We would definitely stay again.
We were made very welcome by Cat and her Mum Ceri, the house was spotlessly clean with a great kitchen- all the kit you could need, tea coffee inc decaf and a bottle of milk in the fridge. The beds were comfy and the house was warm. The grounds were covered in snowdrops and we wished we could stay for longer than just the 2 nights. highly recommended.
We have been very Kindly received by ceri cat s mother ..
Everything was provided in the house and We enjoy a lovely fireplace and everything ..
We just think Ceri could improve the surroundings of her house by cleaning and tidy up the garden and the wash room ..

If you want chic boutique this is not the place for you. But if you want somewhere with loads of room, equipped with everything you need and fantastic walks for the dogs ...... Then like us, this is the place for you.
Cat's mum Ceri, met us on our arrival, she was genuinely lovely, offered us bread and milk, showed us around the place and let us know about interesting walks to take around neighbouring villages. It was a really great spacious cottage for four girls catching up. Our stay was made ever more enjoyable by our hosts graciousness, the peaceful surroundings, we had lovely walks and watching the water birds on the private "beach" was a treat! the log fire was a bonus too! We would love to return in the spring.

I'm a country girl with a great love for family, friends, food and my work.
Five things I currently can't live without are: tea, my notebooks, a laptop, my Delicious magazine subscription and dried Waitrose Lovelife mango strips.
I enjoy travelling, especially to film festivals with work, and checking out the best local food places alongside. Best find so far is Nimmo's in Galway, Ireland.
My favourite literary characters are Merricat Blackwood, Clarice Bean and Miss Havisham.
My three desert island films would be Elf, Mary Poppins and My Girl. Because I'm cool like (website hidden) shows I won't miss: Homeland, House of Cards and Gossip Girl.
And as said, I love my food, and nothing beats a Gower Chocolate Brownie.
