My host was absolutely charming, helpful, and available for great advice on sights to see and delightful local shops (don't miss the vegan ice cream made with olive oil just around the corner) to try. The neighborhood is extraordinary: just as beautiful as what you see in the photo of San Giovanni from the balcony. In addition to the bare bones reviews on airbnb, let me add a more personal note. Barbara and her home have a great vibe. She is an exceptional musician, who has traveled the world because of her trade, and is a warm, intelligent human being with a great sense of humor.
My staying in Roma at Barbara's apt was so peaceful and at the same time very lively.Great location and very nice spacious room. Loved every minute there, not mention to meet this wonderful couple.Thank you Barbara.
I have been to Rome several times over the past 20 years, and I have NEVER stayed with nicer people. Barbara and Remco made me feel like a relative, and went out of their way to be sure that all my needs were met. The room is everything I expected, with a stellar view of the facade of San Giovanni in Laterano and the entrance to the Sacred Steps. I will definitely call her first before I return!

Barbara was very gracious and helpful. The location was central for the Metro and the Bus system. Thank you Barbara for your kindness...I had a fantastic time in Rome.
Most welcoming and friendly host possible. Excellent room in marvellous location. Besides a beautiful view also great connection via public transport and walking distance to Colosseum etc.
