YOUR GUEST ROOM(S)
Quiet private guest room (3 x 4.5 m) for a single or a couple. You have a bed with comfy mattress, writing table and two very nice leather lounge chairs. Around the corner, just outside the room, is a coffee & tea minibar and washing sink. Adjacent to the guest room is a cosy attic hut with mattresses for 2 kids.
The maximum number of guests is 2 adults and 2 kids. But if you're a larger company and flexible, we don't mind to improvise with camping mats.
The guest room is in a characteristic corner house with all together 9 rooms (175 m2) and a large garden. It's in one of the most beautiful and green neighborhoods in Ede-Wageningen, close to the grounds of Kernhem estate. There's a shopping area, a swimming pool and a garden park on just 5 mins walking distance. In town you will find various cosy restaurants and pubs.
The vast forests and heather fields north-east of Ede are great for hiking and cycling. Also within easy reach are Wageningen University, National Park 'De Hoge Veluwe', the Kröller Müller Museum (with a large Van Gogh collection), and the Ginkelse Hei (Operation Market Garden).
OUR HOUSE IS YOURS!
Well, sort of. We love to accomodate our guests as well as we can, but are limited in our personal availability, as we also have our daily work, family, etc. You can enjoy the privacy of your room and be on your own. Use of the living room and the garden depends on the family situation at that moment. You can also use a fridge (for longer stays), the bathroom and the wireless internet connection.
We're a relaxed, friendly family with two boys and no pets. Apart from the normal interactions and 'house sounds', it's relatively quiet.
On request we can offer breakfast at € 5,- pp (€ 3,- kids) or you can join our family for dinner at € 7,50 pp (€ 5,- kids). Use of bicycles (when available) at € 7,50 per day, use of washing machine € 4,50.
For those who come for a time of personal reflection we can offer professional life coaching as well as psychological consults, both indoors and outdoors. For those who wish to work on their business and online marketing while staying with us, we offer personal advice and coaching that helps you focus (or rethink your business model) and get things done. These are paid services, more information available on request.
Buses go 4x per hour from Ede-Wageningen train station and stop just around the corner. If you have a lot of luggage, we can pick you up at the train station.
There are direct train connections to Arnhem (10 mins), Nijmegen (30 mins), Utrecht (25 mins), Amsterdam (55 mins) and Schiphol airport (60 mins). If you wish to explore the Netherlands or just want to be more flexible, we can also provide a Mywheels car at low cost.

My stay at "Vincent's Attic" was very good. The room is cosy, contains a big desk to work at and an adequate bed.
Marc and Karolien are the perfect hosts - always considerate and doing their best to make you feel at home. You can join them for their family dinner if you feel like company or you could seek out the solitude of your room.
The neighborhood is quiet - a supermarket is within walking distance and the bus-connection on weekdays is good.
Marc and Karolien are very willing to find a good solution if there's any individual problems due to personal preferences, for instance in softness of matresses or such.
I can recommend staying at "Vincent's Attic" if you are looking (email hidden) to stay, with friendly and hospitable hosts.
Nice, clean and quiet accommodation.
My stay in "Vincent's Attic" was excellen. It is a really cosy and comfortable room. It's the perfect place to rest and study; quiet, with a big table, two very comfortable chairs and plenty of sunlight. There is also a "private" sink and a water heater right next to the room which allows you to make yourself a tea or a coffe whenever you want, very handy in the rainy Netherlands.
Marc and Karolien are very kind and nice. You can tell how much they enjoy to meet new people and that they are willing to help you as much as they can.
It was a great experience and I hope I can return soon.
It was my first airbnb experience, I am convinced, will definetely use the site for future trips!! Marc and Karolien are very hospitable and (email hidden) to sleep. I can recommend this address to everyone who is looking for a place nearby de Veluwe.
The room has two comfortable beds, a chair and desk in it. It's on the small side, but we mainly used it for sleeping, so that was OK. There is a shared bath with the family downstairs from the room which is on the second floor. The stairs are pretty steep. There is also a sink for guests on the landing outside the room.
Karolien and Marc offer a breakfast at 5 euro, and boy was it worth it. Karolien had made us her delicious home made bread together with a great spread of cold cuts, yogurt, coffee, tea, fruits, and more. She was a wonderful hostess, giving us good travel advise, but most of all for her friendliness and interesting conversations we had in the mornings.
Warm welcome. Nice block, quite easily to find when you arrive by bus. Nice room, under the roof, with all furniture. This is like a 1st Dutch life experience ! Thank you and see you soon !
Staying here was perfect. Some fellowship but also enough privacy! Would recommend this room.
It was our first airbnb experience and we were glad we shared it with Marc and Karoline! Our stay was perfect - Karoline made sure we were warm by adding an extra thick duvet, cooked up an amazing traditional Dutch dinner (my favourite meal in Netherlands!) and we also learned quite a bit about Netherlands from them. The attic room provides us with privacy and there even is a pantry just outside the room! A highly recommended experience!
Prettig verblijf bij familie van der Woude. Heel flexibele gastheer en vrouw.
