The Space

Enjoy our great home with two bedrooms, 2 great full bathrooms, 1 bathtub, solid kitchen, lots of light, Manhattan views, lots of original art and two mini-balconies.

Perfect for two couples or a couple with two roommates.

Very clean apartment, no personal clutter. Great firm new beds, all cotton sheets and towels. King bed in one bedroom, and two Twin Extra Long beds which can be turned into a comfy king-size bed in the other bedroom.

LOCATION We're right at Manhattan Avenue by McCarren Park, the street dividing Williamsburg and Greenpoint--you get to enjoy all the buzz while keeping a foot on the quieter, undiscovered gem to the north.

TRANSPORTATION A ten minute walk takes you to the to L train (towards Union Sq. and Meat Market District), an eight minute walk takes you to the G train (connection to midtown, Grand Central Station and Central Park), and a twenty minute walk takes you to the Manhattan Ferry. (Walk times by provided by Google Maps). Plenty of citibikes arround as well!

NEIGHBORHOOD: Right across the street from McCarren Park and and no more than a four minute walk to local landmarks New York Distilling Co, The Meat Hook, The Richardson, Five Leaves, Bar Matchless, and Pete's Candy Store. If you haven't visited yet, that means endless romantic strolls, world-class Brooklyn rye, impossibly cool night caps, cutest late afternoon cafe, hippest all around bar, and funnest local hangout.

AMENITIES: We provide cotton sheets and plenty of towels, china, glass and silverware, pots and pans, a toaster, a kettle, and my mother's espresso maker. Our cheesy vinyl collection and turntable are there for you to enjoy as well. Plenty of Wi-Fi, and a a SmartTV so that you can log into your own Netflix, Hulu and Amazon accounts - our cableTV has only very basic channels - but we're pretty sure there are so many things to do in the neighborhood that you won't be watching too much TV.

HYGGE: Our home is inspired by the Danish concept of "hygge", a word closely related to "coziness": relaxing with good friends or loved ones, often while enjoying good food and something to drink or creating a more friendly atmosphere. When loved ones sit close together on a cold rainy night, that's a true moment of hygge, as is grilling a pølse (Danish sausage) and drinking a beer on a long summer evening.

Proximity to the BQE makes for easy access to and from airports, or late night cabs from Manhattan. No traffic lights or bars next door make for horn-less and siren-less New York nights.

We hope you come to Brooklyn and enjoy your own version of hygge in our home. Thanks for taking the time to read our listing!
