Vernal Vibe Rise is perfect for a comfortable camping experience on an active permaculture farm. It is my pleasure to host you here on this beautiful sliver of land, banked by National Forest.

Cleaning and sanitization procedures are in place, including deep cleaning with sanitation of the privy and water spigot after every stay.

The space
You will be camping at Vernal Vibe Rise (VVR), a small, perennially-focused, working farm.

VVR also borders the Monongahela National Forest and allows easy access the wonderful Greenbrier River Trail, which is nearby. Come and enjoy the farm and forest atmosphere. For safety reasons, campfires are not permitted, but safely-operated camp stoves are welcome.

I am happy to welcome visitors who are interested in the operations of the farm and farm tours. VVR is also a convenient home-base if you have other plans in Lewisburg, Snowshoe Mountain, elsewhere in the Greenbrier Valley, or even the New River Gorge area.

Guest access
This listing is for a flat spot on the farm property upon which guests can pitch their own tent for the night--or longer. Enjoy the woodland area around your campsite, as well as use of the clean, newly-constructed privy. Non-potable water and soap are also provided for washing up.

There are trails and forest hiking in the Monongahela National Forest just across the street. If you are interested in heritage livestock and/or permaculture, Vernal Vibe Rise farm tours are available for a fee if scheduled ahead of time.

Other things to note
Plan ahead for delicious farm meals by adding a Pantry Package to your stay. I curate a fresh menu that fits your dietary preferences before stocking a cooler with some of the following: beyond-organic heritage eggs, organic heritage meats, fresh herbs in season, organic baked goods, and other clean, local products from my farm and other local producers. The Pantry Package enables you to prepare farm meals on your own camp stove—or just have some delicious snacks of veggies, fruits, and/or hard-cooked eggs. I would hope that this goes without saying, but this campsite is located adjacent to the Monongahela National Forest, which is an unmanaged forest (that means, among other things, that wild animals live there). If you are exceptionally prissy, or otherwise allergic to the natural world, this is probably not the place for you—but, if that’s the case, you probably shouldn’t be camping either.

Vernal Vibe Rise is located approximately 20 miles from the small yet culturally competent historic town of Lewisburg, West Virginia, about 30 miles from historic Marlinton, West Virginia, and just over 50 miles from the popular ski, snowboard, and music destination Snowshoe Mountain Resort.

The Greenbrier River and accompanying Trail offer hours or days of outdoor enjoyment and access is just a short drive from the farm. The property can be accessed via an unpaved road, and is a relaxing and private location.

Guests who wish to walk in the Monongahela National Forest can do so easily, as Vernal Vibe Rise borders a National Forest trail.
