Excellent place! It's true -- there's almost everything you can possibly need in this condo--from umbrellas to scissors to olive oil. Just bring your own groceries and clothes. The only thing missing is a rack to dry dishes if you choose to wash them by hand. Condo is very clean and comfortable. Don't worry about being near the train station. I only heard it once. Nice view of the Go By Train sign. Though there's no view of the river, it was lovely to be on the riverfront and walk along the river to the Saturday market. Do know this apartment is up a couple of flights of stairs and there's no elevator if that's an issue for you. Also, the reserved parking is tight so I recommend renting as small a car as you can. Julie always responded to my questions promptly.
Julie's place is in a wonderful location. It's an easy walk to the Pearl and not much farther to downtown. Having a parking spot right in front of the building was an added bonus. The apartment is bright, colorful and was a comfortable place to relax. Everything ran smoothly and there was nothing more I could have asked for.
Great spot. Super well furnished and all as described. We had a great time despite too much rain to enjoy walking.
Cozy and very clean! Julie was great with communication. Would stay here again!!
Julie’s place is absolutely perfect! The GPS took us directly there and once parked (covered parking, though a bit tight), we never touched the car again until it was time to leave. Everything we wanted to do was within easy walking distance.
Julie’s is located on the third floor of river-front condos very close to Union Station. If you arrived by train, you’d be about a 3-minute walk from there. It has an outdoor porch that would be ideal for enjoying your coffee on a beautiful morning or a glass of wine in the late afternoon. The downstairs portion is neatly divided by the dining table into a living room with a sectional and television and a well-appointed kitchen. The colors are great fun and Julie has taken care to provide everything necessary for a nice stay.
Upstairs in the loft (which is plenty private thanks to the design of the condo) is the bathroom, washer/drier, and bedroom. There are plenty of extra pillows and blankets. Julie was even thoughtful enough to leave travel-size shampoo and conditioner, along with a bar of soap (thank goodness, as this was my first airbnb experience and I had left all of that stuff at home!) out for us. Other thoughtful touches included a calendar full of local events, and the number and pizza menu for the bar just down the street (where we ate at least once every day we were there) hung up where it was easy to spot.
The condo is spotlessly clean and so comfortable – it was like staying with friends. The neighborhood is modern and felt very safe – we (two ladies) walked home from downtown past midnight every night and never felt any reason for concern. The Portland Saturday Market, Voodoo Donuts, Darcelle’s, Harvey’s Comedy Club, and downtown shopping are all within an easy fifteen-minute walk. We can’t wait to stay here again!
Julie's apartment was absolutely wonderful. Completely cozy, spacious, super comfortable and stocked with all the amenities we needed and more. Check-in and check-out process was easy, even with our late arrival and late check-out. Made our first visit to Portland memorable and enjoyable.
A great place to stay while in the city, with mass transit within easy walking distance. Julie has a wonderful place, with everything anyone would every need. It was clean, warm and provided a very homey filling.
My boyfriend and I have stayed in several great AirBnB apartments, and this one was the most well equipped of any we have experienced. Julie thought of everything that would make our stay comfortable and easy. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean, and it is within walking distance to several modes of public transportation. I highly recommend Julie's apartment.
The Portland Downtown Waterfront condo worked out perfect for our little trip. We arrived on thursday morning from southern california, The condo is only 15-20 minutes from PDX. Parking is right in front of the condo. There is paid parking on the street for guests. The view on the backside of the condo complex is very beautiful (river and two bridges). The condo was tastefully decorated and had all the amenities we needed, even a blowup mattress in the closet if needed. There is a local market a short walk from the condo. Although we had a vehicle , everything was within walking distance . The place had a comfortable sofa , kitchen and the washer and dryer comes in handy. We would highly recommend this condo,
Julie and Ash, Thanks for the "home away from home" while we were in Portland Oregon! Your condo was well appointed with everything travelers might need and immaculately kept so we felt right at home and safe. The central location to "old Downtown" and Perl District was ideal especially as the weather dramatically changed from the forecasted 40's to the worst Winter Storm Portland had in many years. Your condo and personal consideration checking in on needs was welcoming warmth we thank you for! We "hiked" into downtown or Perl daily for some of the best food a "foody" could dream of and enjoyed the winter wonderland and beautiful Portland. We saw a play at The Armory, browsed Powell's Books, shopped, did walking tours and ate great food. Some of the recommended restaurants were Mothers, OX, Little Bird, Sake' and we didn't get to the 5 star Andina, but many locals recommended we come back to try it! We just may have to come do this visit in the summer and book your condo again! Thank you for making our first AirBnB a great adventure!
