This apartment is part of a motel, not a condo building. Overall, it's a good place if you're a bunch of guys, or you're in your early 20's and don't care about things like stained bed spreads. But if you're a couple, or a bit older, the place has some draw-backs:
- Everything is straight out of the 70's, including the bathroom, the shag carpet, and the VCR.
- Bring your own light bulbs, because some lights (such as the one next to the bed) don't have any.
- The tub leaks onto the bathroom floor (a liability if you ask me).
- There's a lot of road noise, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
- If you're planning on sleeping on the right side of the king size bed, also bring a sleep mask, because there's a street light directly outside of the window. Even if you lower and shut the blinds, the light shines through the vertical gap between the 2 blinds.
- I would bring my own pillow. It was hard to sleep on the old, flat pillows on the beds.
There will be many more trips to Tahoe for us, but no more stays at this location.
This place was a little too shabby for my liking. Pretty run down and generally old. It would be fun if you are a group of frat boys like everyone else there that weekend. Maybe that's why there are plastic sheets on the beds? Nice location and helpful staff. Just kinda expensive for the space. We forgot our phone chargers and they promptly mailed them to us and over all Karla was very nice.
Karla was great and very responsive to all emails/questions. The place itself is a bit older and outdated and lacks AC which was a little tough since we were there when it was about 90 degrees- but the location can't be beat. Right across the street from a nice private beach and eay access into Tahoe City. Overall, good experience!
If you're looking for something close to the Lake beach (a walk across the street) and a relaxed environment- this is the spot! The place is clean, just an old style top floor of a beach house. We loved the little porch with stairs to the picnic tables to BBQ. We had our doggie here too, and he had a blast! Thanks again!!
