About this listing
Treat yourself to top of the world living. Enjoy a private room & bath downtown in a spacious sub-penthouse on the 36th floor with amazing views from every window. Superb location, & great amenities. Check us out!
Treat yourself to top of the world living. Beautiful sub-penthouse downtown on the 36th floor of a new building with amazing views from every window. We have 2BD/2BA in a spacious 1400 sq ft of living space, styled with an eclectic designer mix of antique vs. modern. With floor to ceiling windows there is plenty of natural light and we have a partially covered deck with table & chairs if you want to sit outside to enjoy views of the city or the unobstructed SW views of False Creek.
There is always tea & coffee on hand and the well equipped kitchen is available for light use.
Your room is spacious and comfortable with a queen sized bed (Sealy mattress & memory foam topper). We've made plenty of room in the closet for you to unpack and have added a flat screen TV with an Apple TV where you'll have free access to Netflix or the ability to rent movies via your iTunes account. You will also have a private bathroom just down the hall (not an ensuite, but almost as sweet). We've also added air conditioning to the room as Vancouver condos can really heat up in the summer months.
BUILDING AMENITIES: Secured entry and access to our amazing facilities - a large cardio room, weight room, swimming pool, hot tub & large dry sauna.
NEIGHBOURHOOD: The building is literally beside Rogers Arena & BC Place in the downtown area. You are a 5 minute walk from Gastown, Chinatown & the Dr Sun Yat Sen Gardens and about a 15 minute walk to Granville St, Robson St, Science World, the Vancouver Convention Centre or trendy Yaletown. The sea wall at False Creek is only a stone's throw away and our neighbourhood downstairs has plenty of good restaurants, grocery stores, a movie theatre, a large park and even a mall. We're 1 block from a basketball court, 2 blocks from soccer fields & tennis courts. I could easily go on...
I have added a Guidebook (see the bottom of the listing) so you can see many of my favourite neighbourhood picks for restaurants, pubs, etc.
TRANSIT: The building is only a few steps from the Stadium SkyTrain station and a couple of blocks from the major bus lines that run along Expo, Pender & Hastings streets.
Other Things to Note
YOU MUST LOVE DOGS! We have 2 small/medium sized furry family members, both who are super-friendly, quiet & calm.
We have a clean, comfortable, laid back & non-smoking home. I work from home and am generally around - or at least accessible - if you need me. We look forward to meeting you.
Having used the Airbnb services myself to good reviews without much need for House Rules, we can keep it pretty simple:
1. Do not hang anything, especially wet towels, over the end of the bed. There are hooks and racks at your disposal.
2. No unregistered guests or loud noise after 11pm.
3. Most importantly...Please enjoy sharing our home & fabulous Vancouver!
I would book that room again and again! It is really nice and clean. The private bathroom is better than any AirBnB-bathroom I have seen before. And: Klay and his partner are so nice! It's just like being at home. Thank you very much!!
Our accomidations were as described and more. Conveniently located off the Canada line; very comfortable bed in room as pictured with fantastic view; enjoyed the comforable home setting with super decor and balcony. Our host, Klay, was most helpful suggesting sites, eateries and the use of bikes to experience Stanley Island.
Klay was a friendly and helpful host. The room was clean and comfortable and in a good location for walking and public transportation. I would stay again.
Die perfekte Lage und der perfekte Gastgeber. Klay ist extrem hilfsbereit, offen und freundlich. Sehr zu empfehlen!
Our host met us downstairs on the street and proceeded to show us our underground, secure parking spot. He then accompanied us upstairs to a wonderful apartment with breathtaking views of Vancouver. Our bedroom was roomy and our private bathroom contained all that we required. Our host invited us to use the kitchen and make ourselves at home in the expansive living area and/or the wraparound outside deck. The bed was extremely comfortable; we slept like bricks! Everything was very clean, and there was an assortment of interesting books displayed throughout the apartment.
The apartment itself was perfectly situated in Crosstown, which allowed us to walk to the most desireable places in downtown Vancouver, including: Canada Place, Yaletown, Davie Street, English Bay, Robson Street, and more.
Perfect location, close to major attractions like chinatown canada place, gastown, science world, etc. The skytrain station ( chiantown-stadium) is only 1 min walk away from the front door of the high rise, we didn't even have to cross any roads! A lot market place, cafe and restaurants around, near to everything you need for long or short term stays. Klay gave me a lot of advice on where to eat and helped look up for directions, 10 out of 10 host.
The room is exactly as described, absolute gorgeous view out of the window. The bathroom was perfect too, enough towel supplies, all we needed was our own facials and tooth brush. The only drawback was the room heated up pretty high after sunrise, but since there's AC and a fan in the room, it didn't bother us much
Anyways, definitely will stay again in the future!
For our first time using airbnb and exploring Vancouver, it was an amazing experience! Klay was really awesome, he had so much to share about the area and things to do in order to get the most out of our trip. The location was incredible, not only was it close to public transit, but it was also right next to several popular attractions. However, the view was our favorite detail. During the day, it was incredible; but at night, breathtaking! We definitely recommend staying here!
