Modern one-bedroom SOMA loft with covered parking, a private patio, two huge shared roof decks, a fully equipped kitchen, and lots of tech gadgetry!
This modern one-bedroom loft is conveniently located in San Francisco's SOMA district.
Apartment includes underground covered parking, a private patio, and two huge shared roof decks. Our modern kitchen is stocked with appliances and gadgets including: refrigerator, indoor grill, wine fridge, electric tea kettle, coffee maker and french press.
We have Comcast high-speed Wifi and cable TV with HBO. Connected Roku player allows for streaming Netflix, YouTube and HBO OnDemand.
We're only a few block away from some of SF's best restaurants and coffee shops (Zero Zero, Citizen's Band, Sightglass Coffee) and a short walk to The Metreon, Financial District and Union Square. Very convenient access to Powell Street BART, streetcar lines, MUNI bus lines, and the freeway.
Card-operated washer and dryer are available for use in the building's basement.
Finally, SOMA is an urban area and homeless people do live in this neighborhood. I consider the area (and this street in particular) to be safe and we've never had any issues with safety. However, it's not uncommon to see homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk, especially in the late night or early morning hours.
Guests will have access to kitchen, living area, dining area, balcony/patio, bedroom area, and shared roof space. Small closet space can be arranged upon request (please advise in advance).
Interaction with Guests
I usually meet guests on arrival for a quick overview of the unit. During your stay, I'm available by phone or text for any questions that come up. Always happy to provide recommendations about the city and day trips in the Bay Area as well.
The South of Market (SOMA) neighborhood is a rapidly changing area of the city. Formerly filled with industrial warehouses and auto-shops, the neighborhood is now being peppered with coffee shops, restaurants, parklets, night clubs, condos and more.
Our unit is just over 2 blocks from Whole Foods Market and a few blocks from Sightglass Coffee and Deli Board, two of the most popular spots in the city!
However, you should note that SOMA is still a bit rough around the edges. It is not uncommon to see homeless people sleeping on the streets, or people using drugs in public. We have never felt unsafe in SOMA, but we do provide our guests with a map of certain streets and areas that we recommend avoiding at night while on foot.
SOMA is very convenient for getting into, out of and around the city. Accessible by public transit (BART, Muni) and close proximity to Highway 101 and 80.
Only a 5 minute walk from the nearest BART station (Powell St) and apartment rental includes underground covered parking.
Other Things to Note
The shared roof decks are awesome when the weather is nice! One of the decks includes a BBQ and has great views of the surrounding San Francisco area.
We kindly request that you host no gatherings of more than 4 people.
Laundry is available in the basement. Laundry is pay-per-use and a guest laundry card will be provided. Value can be added to this card in $10 increments.
Closet space can be made available upon request. Please let me know if you need any closet space at least 2 days prior to your arrival.
Lost keys are subject to a $50 charge per key.
We were extremely pleased with our stay in Soma at Anthony's place. Everything was so clean and tidy upon our arrival. Anthony is very organized and provides an extensive and helpful welcome kit with great restaurant recommendations—we went to a couple of his suggestions and loved them! Anthony was quick to offer help if we had any questions. We will be back when we visit San Francisco next!
We had a very comfortable stay. Anthony kept in contact with us through the weekend to make sure we were ok. The parking spot in the garage was very convenient since we had a rental car and street parking was hard to come by. The welcome kit he provided prior to our stay was very helpful. It included a map of the residence and of which areas to avoid walking through at night, though we never felt unsafe at any time. Many great places within walking distance. At the time of our stay there were new developments directly across the street and the construction started at an early hour. Just something to keep in mind if you are planning to stay on a weekday. We really enjoyed his place!
Amazing space with lots of light. Anthony was was a wonderful host and was gracious to have a bottle of red wine & chocolate ready for our arrival. The apartment was quiet, relaxing, and very clean. Thank you for making my first experience with Airbnb a fantastic one!
We loved this loft! This was our first time using airbnb and we are hooked. Anthony was outstanding as a host. He was very responsive, provided a lovely welcome packet, and gave very clear and concise instructions. He was also in constant contact with us in case we had any questions. The apartment is in a great area, close to a lot of exciting things. His place was very clean and had a great feel. We also really enjoyed utilizing the shared roof deck at night. We could have have had a better first experience or host. If we ever come back to San Fran (and we hope we will), we'll definitely stay here again!
Like all of the other reviews say, Anthony is great, and his place is a steal compared to all of the hotels around SF. His apt is clean and in a great location, and having a parking spot was incredibly convenient, especially around that area. From about a week prior, Anthony sent us detailed information on everything we needed to know for our stay, and once we arrived, he made sure everything went smoothly and that we were settled in comfortably. I would definitely stay here again!
We had a great time exploring SF using Anthony's home as a base. It was bright & the perfect space for a couple and the tall ceilings are a lovely feature. Anthony left great instructions and was so kind to check how our stay was going & provide us with dinner recommendations. He left a welcome gift for us on arrival which was lovely of him. Having the parking space was also a fantastic addition.
Our stay at Anthony's was a breeze. He left great instructions for everything and made checking in and out super simple. The apartment was also located within walking distance to a lot and what we couldn't walk to was only a short Uber ride away. Made for a nice weekend getaway.
I'm a California native who recently moved to San Francisco after several years on the East Coast. I look forward to welcoming visitors to the city and sharing my recommendations for restaurants, local bars, outdoor activities and day trips in the area.
