I miss the sound of the Church bells ringing.......A beautiful fully self contained and independent home, Villa Alma is very well maintained and of generous proportions, with everything one needs, a real home away from home. Surrounded by secure, spacious and tranquil gardens which are lovingly tended, Villa Alma is ideal for families, children, friends or the sole traveller as was I.
With secure parking, privacy and a peaceful environment to return to after a big day sightseeing, travelling and dealing with crowds, Villa Alma offers a tranquil haven which allows you to recharge and unwind away from the tourist crowds.
No car?? No problem, a bus stop just outside the gates, and another in the town centre, with regular services to all major cities and beaches in the region and beyond, including Marco Polo International Airport Venice, will take you where you wish to go.
Villa Alma is situated just outside a peaceful town with all amenities. A leisurely 8 minute walk and you are in the town centre with the River Piave a further 3 minutes walk away, here one can enjoy a relaxing walk or cycle along the river banks, maybe even enjoy a picnic while letting the emerald green waters of the Piave soothe and invigorate.
The township includes a Catholic Church, supermarkets, pharmacy, green grocer, great cafes and bakeries to name a few. One can mix with the local community and get a taste of everyday Italian life.
I booked my stay for 6 months as I had personal business to conduct in Italy. My Hosts Chiara and Paolo, Nora and Beppino made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I was made to feel part of their family, my husband also when he visited me for a short period.
Any, and all concerns or requests were dealt with efficiently and quickly. Their assistance, support and friendship during this long, and at times, difficult period away from my family and home was just amazing, and so very important to me on so many levels.
A truly beautiful, caring and hospitable family. I shall be forever grateful. Grazie Mille.
I recommend Villa Alma to anyone who is thinking of visiting Italy and know you will not be disappointed.
God willing, I shall return.........ciao
What a delightful stay we had in Fossalta di Piave. Chiara and her family were very welcoming and it was a privilege to stay in such a well equipped, spacious and extremely comfortable home. We enjoyed having the best of both worlds in being able to stay in a country setting and yet be only a short train ride away from the heart of Venice. Would thoroughly recommend this holiday accommodation.
We spent unforgettable days at Villa Alma.Entering the house we understood that our choice was right, the house was even much better than in the Internet. The ancient furniture, family photos created warm atmosphere.Everywhere was very clean. The same was outside,so many beautiful trees and flowers.Individual words to the hosts. All members of this big family were polite, friendly, helpful and very sociable.Chiara and Paolo told and showed us the ways how to get to Jesolo,Venice and etc.We were happy to visit Fossalta di Piave and meet so decent family. We highly recommend them to everybody.
Charming house which is ideally located for touring all around. It's great to go to Venice by train for a very reasonable price. The village has sufficient infrastructure to meet all needs. Paul and Chiara are lovely and very helpful.
We stayed for one week in Alma´s Villa. The stay was fantastic. The house is spacious and beautiful. Chiara and Paul made us very welcome and are wonderful hosts. When we came the Chiara had prepared a beautiful old cot for our youngest child and a high chair and essentials to in the refrigerator, she even brought us sweetness from the local bakery on the first morning.
We had a car and the house is very well located to drive to beach, Aqualandia, Venice, and other towns. It is beautiful in Fossalta di Piave and all around. I highly recommend accommodation in Alma´s Villa. Thank you Chiara and Paul!
It was an excellent choice to stay in Fossalta di Piave, in the home of Paul and Chiara. The house is very good, comfortable and welcoming. On arrival Chiara had left yougurtes, juices, biscuits, milk and even a liqueur for us. Very gentle. The parents of Paul, who also live in the Villa, are attentive and very kind. It is very easy to go from the city to the main tourist attractions of the region by train. We went to Treviso, Trieste, Verona and Venice easily, quickly, and spending very little. The small town of Fossalta is very friendly with people riding bicycles, good restaurants, supermarket, shops and banks. Everything a visitor might need. Also has its history. Ernest Hemingway had Fossalta during the war and fought as a volunteer. His picture is on a bicycle in front of the church. It's worth staying at Villa Alma, the convenience and the attention and affection of Paul and Chiara. One day we will return.
It's going to sound pretty repetitive but we really enjoyed this place. It's away from the usual hustle and bustle of tourist places and yet still easy to use as a base for the beach at Jesolo, the tourist town of Caorle and, of course, Venice. Chiara and Paolo have a wonderful family (all three generations!) and made our stay very comfortable. The house is really spacious and the air conditioning was so appreciated on the hottest week in Italy so far. The kitchen has tons of implements (we did most of our own catering) and the whole place is very clean. It's a sleepy town (with great ice cream) and is very restful. We took in a sagra (community food festival) in a nearby town when we were here and would highly recommend the experience.
Chiara and Pablo were were wonderful hosts. They made our stay feel like home. Our arrival was late in the evening and knowing that we were travelling late and with children Chiara provided us with essentials that were more than appreciated or expected.
The Villa is perfect for anyone to stay at, children or not. It was very very clean and organized with an ambiance of a homely feel to it. The location of the Villa is really good too. Just a couple hundred yards from the local community filled with everything you need from restaurants to markets to clothing stores.
We speak English and there was no miscommunications at all.
We would love to stay at the Villa again given the chance. We already miss it.
All i can say is: WONDERFUL!!
It´s really hard to explain, Chiara and Paulo, the place, the house, the surroundings has made this to the best holiday we´ve ever had. The house is really nice, it´s left just as when Paulo´s grandmother lived there. The surroundings is great, our kids played around for hours almost every day.
We hope we´ll come back again one day.
Thank you so much!!!
