All prices include local taxes, which provides a significant savings for guests. The owners will pay the following taxes on guests' behalf to the state: 9.25% Hawaii Transient Accommodations Tax, 4% Hawaii General Excise Tax, and a .5% Oahu surcharge. This totals 13.75%. Guests should take notice of this savings and look out for these taxes being tacked on when comparing other Hawaii accommodations. Additionally, on top of local taxes, the owners are subject to regular state and federal income taxes.

This house was spacious and clean. We loved having such a short walk to the beach to watch the sunrise, snorkel, or just relax for a bit. Meg was friendly and responsive. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a place in the country on the North Shore.
We love Hawaii and meg's Apartment make us feel like having a small home there! The Apartment was very clean and Perfect for our stay... We Loved the Big living area with kitchen and Couch together! Meg helps us whenever we had a question and were always there to ask for things To do. I would recommend this Place to everybody who is interested in a Place beside the Main tourist Road and North shore Surfer Style living Right at the next door!
We had a great time staying with Corbin and Meg. House was very comfortable and had all of the amenities covered. It is in a great location and a short walk to the beach. Check out their awesome start up Rice Love Bags! For every bag sold they donate a kilo of rice to a family in need in India. We can't wait to come back! :)
The house was clean. The beach nearest the house is rocky, so we often went a few miles north to where the children could play in the water more comfortably. Alternatively, bring some water shoes. We definitely took advantage of the sand toys that were at the property. Foodland is just a few miles north, so that was also convenient.
We really enjoyed our stay! We only stayed one night, but Meg's place was clean and as advertised. She left us chocolates for our arrival, which was a nice touch. We borrowed her boogie boards and walked down to the beach for sunrise. Very relaxed and non-touristy part of Oahu.
Loved this house! It was perfect for my family. The quiet location was great. We enjoyed all of the beach stuff Meg left out for us to use. Comfortable beds. The house was clean and spacious. Thanks Meg for everything!
Would highly recommend staying here if you don't mind being away from the Waikiki area. It is fairly close to North Shore and very close to local Grocery stores and a few good Restaurants. Beware, everything is closed on Sundays in this town. The host made us feel extremely welcome through email contacts, chatting with us whenever available, and also providing us with her own little list of things to do neatly organized by region of the island! Meg was very friendly and she even took the time to help my sister print off a homework assignment that she needed to complete while on vacation. We also really appreciated all of the little items that were stocked in the home such as plastic bags, towels, bedding, laundry soap, shampoo and conditioner, and even salt and pepper! Overall, this house had all the comforts of home that you might need while on vacation without having to pack the entire house. The three bedrooms were spacious and the two bathrooms made life easier for our family. Not to mention the incredible attention to detail with the house decor. Most of the furniture items are hand made by Meg and combined make for a very charming little Surf House. The biggest draw back I can think of for this home is that I believe most of the power and water heating is run off of Solar Panels which means that the water for showers is warm, but not hot. For us it was not a big deal as we were visiting during 80 degree weather but for some it may be an issue. Also, the neighborhood is home to many Roosters who like to crow early in the morning. But all the more reason to get up with the sunrise and find your next adventure! Crouching Lion Hike is 5 minutes down the road and Ted's Bakery offers a delicious breakfast and some of the best Pineapple Upside Down Cake you will ever taste!

I grew up in the mountains of Park City and now live by the ocean in Hawaii! I love my life here on this tiny island with my husband and two kids. We love to skate, surf, snowboard, hike, and spend time as a family. We also love to travel and see different parts of the world, by renting out our house here in Hawaii this becomes possible.
