The space
Our guest house is above the barn, located in the charming village of Ballard. It is in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley wine country. The apartment has 1 bedroom, a large bathroom, and living room. There are decks off of the bedroom and living room. There is a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig machine. The bedroom boasts high quality linens upon an extremely comfortable mattress. Guests will have private use of the beautiful pool area. The pool is heated by solar so it is not warm enough to swim in the winter. The hot tub is available though. A hot substantial breakfast is provided each morning.
Post covid has opened up more socially distanced opportunities such as bike riding and hiking or a picnic on the grounds. For those of you not ready to eat out...Pick up take out and eat under the stars and Olive trees.

We live on at the end of a dead end road. The street is great for a leisurely stroll to see the neighbors horses.
We have a strict 15 mile per hour speed limit on our road to provide safety for all of the free range kids and animals who live here.

We have spent the last 19 years here raising our three children and putting our heart and soul into our home. We both work and are very busy but love the weekends we have guests that come to stay and enjoy our beautiful valley. We love the elements of entertaining and relish the idea of what a guest house should be! Our property in Ballard is on a quiet street of 5 acre parcels that is centrally located to everything in The Santa Ynez Valley. We added a lap pool a few years ago that has been one of our favorite additions to the property. There are many things to do in The Valley such as Wine tasting, shopping, wonderful new restaurants, hiking, biking, or just taking in the breath taking beauty of our Valley. You will find our hospitality generous and friendly. AS much as we love our pets, our place is not suitable for a pet stay. We are a family of readers and you will always find a selection of books by your bedside to tire your eyes out. If there is anything you need in order to make your stay more comfortable, please feel free to ask.

During your stay

We have loved interacting with our guests in the past but currently maintain a strict social distancing protocol. We will see a guest at one of our pre selected check in times beginning at 3:00 pm , breakfast and checkout. We are around the property throughout the stay and can be reached by text. Please do not approach our home during covid.
