The Location:
Our apartment is right in the heart of technology square in Cambridge, one block away from cafes, upscale bars, and a pool hall, and 2 blocks away from a movie theater. We are on the edge of MIT's campus and a 7 minute train ride to Harvard.

The Kendall Square subway stop is only a 10-minute walk away, where there are also multiple fine dining options for a nice night out on the town. There are multiple Hubway bicycle rental spots within several blocks of the apartment, in case you want to ride around the city on a nice sunny day.

Due to it's central location, you can get anywhere in Boston within 30 minutes from our apartment. The center of the city is only a 10 minutes by train.

I'm committed to making your experience in Boston a great one and look forward to helping you enjoy your stay.

Check In
  • We really enjoyed our few days at Ti's place. It's in a great location for exploring Boston and Cambridge and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. All communication was friendly and detailed and the other guests were really nice. Would definitely recommend.

  • Nice place, just as promised.

  • It was more than I expected. Very clean house and very affordable. Even though I've never met with Ti, he sent me the details of location and stay that were very explanatory and clear. I'd definitely stay again.

  • The room was what I expected: clean, spacious, quiet. The mattress was sufficiently comfortable. It was impersonal, in the sense that I didn't communicate with any of the other 3 rooms of guests during my stay and the room had no particular adornments. Which for my purposes was just fine. In fact, you could go the whole trip without talking to anyone because the keys were in a locked box outside the house. Nonetheless, I had the opportunity to meet Ti and his friend, both of whom were very nice. They came to install an air conditioner in the window (because it was the beginning of summer), which was very thoughtful of them. A couple features that were important to me:
    - proximity to MIT/subway: it's a ten minute walk to MIT and the red line, which is a short couple stops away from the interesting things in Boston.
    - percieved safety: I ended up returning to the room around 1am, so it was also important to me that I felt safe walking from the subway to the house, which I did.
    - pricing: I didn't spend that much not-sleeping time in the room, so as long as the bed was comfy and price relatively low, I was happy.

The only minor annoyance I had was that the walls were a bit thin (i.e. you could hear coughing/talking), but it wasn't a problem because the other guests were very respectful.

  • I never met Ti, or anyone else who lived here. Everything was done via text, including instructions for retrieving the key. The room and the bathroom were clean and very basic. I never used the kitchen, but it seemed clean and functional.

Others noted that the bed had a noisy plastic cover; I simply removed this for the duration of my stay, and replaced it afterwards, as it would have been uncomfortable to sleep on and it was redundant to the sheets. So, this wasn't really a problem.

The air conditioning does not work; this was not as much of a problem in the Spring, but might be later as it gets hotter. Ti did leave a fan in his closet, which helped.

The place was cheap, clean, and very convenient to MIT, so I'd recommend it to someone on a budget. I'm leaving it only 3 stars, but only so people don't think it's a luxury space; it was a good experience for what I paid.

  • The experience was very good, the house is located in a safe neighborhood and close to MIT, Harvard, supermarkets, and some restaurants. The room was as described, it was clean, and comfortable. I recommend this place 100%

  • The place Was ok. It's more for long term students, 4 rooms rented sharing a bathroom. For the price paid (23) im not complaining... But it really could be better.

  • I've spent one month at Tivan's. The apartment is nice and it has a good location and security. It's a short walk to T stop and there's lots to do nearby. Tivan's also a great guy. I recommend this apartment!
