We are in one of the so said seven hills of Rome ,"Esquilino" it is a bustling area where many comunities leave together, at about 20minutes walk from the Colosseum and 25/30 from Trevi Fountain.Full of all kinds of restaurants and pizzerias as well as the biggest and the oldest daily market where we get our fresh food supply.
WE PROVIDE 1 PORTABLE UNIT FOR AIRCONDITIONING AND FUNS.
we love our house and we hope people will love it too. Leaving in apartment it is important to behave on the respect of the property end the respect of the neighbour.
It is very important in the old bulding to make sure the lift doors are properly closed as they are not automatic and this is often a problems for the rest of the people leaving on the building.
Maria was a wonderful host and really helped us out after a cancelled flight and an unexpected night in Rome. She came to our rescue and was incredibly accommodating. The apartment is quite large and the beds were really comfortable. The wifi was reliable and Maria was very responsive to any questions that we had. The apartment is a very easy walk to Termini Station making it convenient if you're traveling anywhere outside of Rome via train. The bigger sites (Colosseum, Forum, etc.) are about a 25 minute walk away but you stumble onto so many amazing sites that it's a walk worth taking. You can also take the subway to connect to anywhere else in the city. Overall, this is a great choice for anyone traveling in a group, for the proximity to Termini Station, or for anyone who wants to work with a really lovely host like Maria.
The apartment was ideal for my wife and I plus the 3 children and my mother and father. The kids had their own bedroom and so did my parents and us. We had all the amenities we needed and overall the entire apartment is spacious, simple but well presented with sensible and functional furniture, and very comfortable. The apartment has a lovely charm to it. The photos really don't do it justice! There was even ground coffee beans and one of those stove percolator-type coffee machines available for use in the kitchen.
The combined kitchen/dining room is a wonderful space, which is basked in sunshine in the mornings. Being able to enjoy a nice coffee whilst sitting at the dining table planning the day ahead was the perfect start to each day.
Maria was a great host and apart from providing us with the basic run downs of the apartment she also assisted us with preparing an itinerary, working around places we had already booked to see, and considering the very limited time we had in Rome.
My parents arrived at the apartment late in the afternoon whilst we were not there, and Maria was kind enough to welcome them into the apartment. This saved us time allowing us to see more whilst my parents could settle into the apartment after a long travel to rest and refresh.
Maria is a wealth of information giving tips on what bus numbers from various destinations stop near the apartment, she even recommended a local restaurant having great pizzas and cheap!! Maria even helped to arrange a taxi transfer to the airport.
We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.
My friends and I were very pleased with our stay at Aisa 168. The Maria Assunta was hands-on and provided fantastic advice on getting the most out of our Rome trip. She ensured that the apartment check in went smoothly, and she was available to answer any questions.
Apartment: Clean, well organized, and quiet. The heater was efficient and kept us warm. Kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped. Bedrooms had ample individual beds to accommodate our group. The apartment complex was charming with a little courtyard.
Neighborhood: The area was charming and was not swarming with tourists. The nearby restaurants had good food and prices. Gelato from a shop down the street was delightful-try the rice gelato. Grocery stores specializing in ethnic food were easily found. Proximity to the metro and Termini train station made the apartment very convenient.
Maria was a perfect host and Aisa 168 was a wonderful base for exploring Rome. Maria was always available with excellent recommendations and assistance. The apartment is large, comfortable and spotless and there was no road-noise to speak of! It is so wonderful to have a comfortable apartment as home base for a week in Rome. The location is perfect, just a couple blocks from the train station, near both metro lines and walking distance to the Coliseum and many of the major sites. It takes just minutes to take a metro to the Vatican and a day-trip to Pompeii is easy day-trip when you are steps from the train station. The neighborhood feels safe at all hours and there are plenty of excellent of restaurants within a few blocks.
Maria was very attentive to our needs from the moment we made the reservation. There was room for our entire party of eight and everyone was comfortable. We would stay with her again! The apartment in close to Termini Train Station/Metro.
The apartment is well suitable for group of 8. Unfortunately, we have a couple and it was inconvenient as there are not privacy in the twin sharing room. To reach the triple sharing room, we have to walk pass the twin sharing room. Maria, the host is a very friendly person who ensure we have a good stay in her apartment. The checkout time was even extended to evening without charging us extra. Well done Maria! Keep up the good standard.
What a shame Carina , you should have told me that there was one couple with you. I could have added one more single bed in the passage room ( remouving the desk).
I did ask you how many doubles and how many singles, maybe at that time you still did not know. Well, we will make sure next time you come to try give all the privacy you need. I hope you are all fine and in good health ready to plan your next trip.
Maria is very nice, friendly and helping women. She was there 24/7 to help or provide valuable guidance about Rome. She knows all good places and she gave us very nice tips which helped us to save time and money. Her apartment is also good and big and air quality in kitchen is god.
Over all we enjoyed our stay her place.
