This gorgeous oceanfront, two bedroom, two bath + Queen size Sofabed condo at Lae Nani in Wailua Bay is the perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself with friends and family. Just wait until you experience the stunning view!
Private, top floor unit (no one above you), featuring high ceilings, a breathtaking ocean view from our spacious Lanai, walking distance to swimming (beach or pool), recreation and nearby shopping and great dining. Ten minute drive from the Lihue Airport, two minutes drive to the award winning Wailua municipal Golf Course.

There is a very comfortable king size bed in the master bedroom and two twins in the second bedroom. PLUS: Brand new, top of the line Queen size sofa sleeper in the living room, with a thick 7 in. mattress, sleeps 2.Fully equipped kitchen.

This lovely unit overlooking scenic Wailua Bay is the perfect getaway. The private beach is just steps away across the beautifully landscaped vast lawn. Children can wade in the sheltered lagoon or play in the swimming pool. Adults will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere by breakfasting on the lanai and watching the ocean, exotic birds, beautifully landscaped grounds or relaxing with a glass of wine at sunset.

The Neighborhood

Kapaa is located on the East Side (Coconut Coast), Kauai

Kauai's East Side is sometimes referred to as the Coconut Coast for the groves of coconut palms that grow in its resort areas. The most populated district on the island, about 16,000 of the island's 62,000 residents reside in the Wailua/Kapaa area. Amongst the clusters of coconut trees you'll find historic places, amazing beaches and memorable attractions.
In Wailua, you'll find a variety of sightseeing opportunities and outdoor activities. Kayak the Wailua River in Wailua River State Park, take a boat ride to the Fern Grotto, or take photos at Opaekaa Falls. Don't forget to try and spot the Sleeping Giant in the Nounou Mountains or take a hike up this scenic ridge. Sacred places like Polihau Heiau, the large lava-rock temple of Kauai's last king, Kaumualii, can also be found on the East Side. And be sure to visit Kapaa Town to discover fine Hawaiian craft pieces, aloha-print shirts, jewelry and art.

But the golden beaches of the Coconut Coast may be the area's biggest draw. Unwind at Anahola Beach Park, whale watch at Donkey Beach or watch the surfers at Kealia Beach to the north. Lydgate Beach Park in Wailua has two lava rock enclosed ocean pools that are perfect places for families and first-time snorkelers. Fun in the sun awaits you on the Coconut Coast.

Getting Around

We offer FREE parking in our gate-protected parking lot. For your convenience, we recommend renting a car to get around on Kauai. Our condo is conveniently located minutes away from Lihue Airport and very close to some of the most beautiful outdoor locations and attractions on Kauai, such as:
Opaekaa Falls, Kauai
With a roadside lookout, this is one of Kauai's most accessible major waterfalls.

Nounou Mountain (Sleeping Giant), Kauai
Legendary mountain range that looks like a sleeping giant featuring a scenic hiking trail.

Wailua River, Kauai.
Kauai has the only navigable rivers in Hawaii, and the Wailua River is one of the most popular.

Fern Grotto, Kauai.
The Fern Grotto is a beautiful lava-rock grotto covered with hanging ferns, popular for weddings.

Kapaa Town, Kauai.

Other Things to Note

This top floor unit stays cool because it is exposed to the ocean breeze and has higher ceilings than the lower floors. The ocean view is STUNNING! One of my favorite things to do: while enjoying a glass of wine on the Lanai you can listen to the relaxing sounds of the ocean and the palm fronds swaying in the breeze, the numerous singing birds, and watch the occasional monk seal taking a nap on the beach. Very relaxing!

The Pool Key Fob and Parking Permit are in a wooden turtle bowl on the kitchen counter, by the telephone. Please hang the parking permit from your rearview mirror while staying at Lae Nani. Upon departure, please return permit and pool key fob to their place on the counter.

Tennis Court
The tennis court lock code is 8220. Guests/owners can play on 1st come 1st serve basis with their own equipment - no need for reservation.
For night time play, please notify Security to turn on the lights.
Tennis Court open until 10:00 p.m.
* If you are planning on doing laundry, please make sure to get quarters for the machines in the laundry room, as there is no change machine in there. About $10-$15 should do it.

Dear Guest,

*Accommodations: The maximum occupancy for the condo is 6 people. We have one King size bed with a very comfortable mattress in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the guest bedroom that can be joined to make a Queen size bed at your request ($30 fee). At this time, we offer enough beds for 4 guests, but guests can rent additional beds locally. If you'd like, I can recommend a reliable company to handle the rental & set up of the beds. Please specify if needed.

*A note about roaches and ants: Lae Nani regularly sprays every unit for bugs. Yet bugs are simply a fact of life in a tropical climate, no matter how much you clean or spray. If you see insects please call me or Remax and we'll dispatch someone immediately to take care of it. Please note that it isn't a maintenance issue, but an issue of where we live and the fact that people often leave their lanai doors open. Practical advice to minimize insect pests: Buy a box of big Ziploc bags. Put ALL your open edibles in Ziplocs. This applies to cereal, cookies, etc. If you can't fit it in a Ziploc bag, then stick it in the refrigerator. Please make sure that trash is properly disposed of in the receptacle outside of the unit every night. Food left in the garbage inside the unit will attract ants and roaches. Plus, all used dishes should be cleaned and put away, just a few dirty plates left out for too long will quickly attract ants and roaches. Ultimately, your cleanliness will help ensure that you have a more pleasant experience. Thank you for your cooperation :)

2. This is a NON SMOKING unit.
3. Pets are not permitted in rental units under any conditions.
4. We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent.
5. DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT- A damage/reservation deposit of $200 is required. This must be received within seven (7) days of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met.
a. No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay.
c. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in OUTSIDE dumpster, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned.
d. All keys are left on the kitchen counter and unit is left locked.
e. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
f. No linens are lost or damaged.
g. NO Early check-in or late check-out.
h. Parking passes/house keys/pool keys are left inside the unit upon departure.
i. The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), the local law enforcement, the security company employed by Lae Nani.
1. PAYMENT - Full payment of the rental rate is required 90 days before arrival. Please make payments in the form of traveler's checks, bank money orders (in US Dollars), bank wires, bank cashiers checks (in US Dollars) or personal checks payable to Claudia Prenter. Please let me know if you are not a US resident, a credit card payment or bank wire might be necessary in your case.
2. CANCELLATIONS - A sixty (60) day notice is required for (email hidden)ncellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
3. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS - Monthly renters must cancel one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least ninety (90) days prior to check-in.
4. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY- The maximum number of guests per condominium is limited to six (6) persons. An additional charge or $25.00 per person per night for guests in addition to six (6) will be assessed. THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES A THREE (3) NIGHT MINIMUM STAY.
5. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than three days, the guest will be charged the three-night rate.
6. INCLUSIVE FEES - Rates include a one-time linen-towel setup. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate.
7. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE - While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate, however it is available at an additional rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units, except for swimming pool on premises.
8. RATE CHANGES - Rates subject to change without notice.
9. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS - Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in.
10. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS - Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
11. PARKING PASSES - Parking passes are located inside the unit, hanging on the kitchen wall. Renters must display parking pass on the rear view mirror at all times. Failure to display may result in towing of vehicle at renter's expense. Please leave the parking passes inside the unit upon departure.
12.HURRICANE OR STORM POLICY - No refunds will be given unless:
a. The National Weather Service orders mandatory evacuation in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area" and/or
b. A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical
Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest.
The day that the National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning," area, we will refund:
a. Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered,
b. Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten their stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and
c. Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Hurricane Warning" period.
