I was able to maintain communication with Simone. Even with my later than scheduled arrival. The flat is the perfect location, and within walking distance to St. Peters and central Roma. Public transit is also available and close by. We were able to catch the bus from termini station and walk to the flat when we arrived in Rome, and Simone scheduled a driver to the airport when we departed.
The flat itself had a washer and dryer, wifi access, and a kitchen. ..All of which are nice to have whem traveling for weeks at a time like I do. Last but not least, if you are a light sleeper or curmudgeon you probably won't like the lively scene outside. I for one like to be in the center of the action, so it was nice to step outside to one of the several bars to catch a World Cup game, have a gelato, do a little shopping, have an authentic Italian meal, or just walk around among the excitement....even at 2 am on a Wednesday!
Really really Nice Appartement in a really nice area.Simone was a great and friendly host! Definitely recommend this place!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Simones appartment. It is a really lovely restored old appartment. The district of Trastevere is a fantastic spot for nightlife, restaurants, cafes etc. It can get a little noisy at night but closing windows and sleeping with aircon is a good alternative. Or even better: being the last to go to bed;-))
It ´s also a perfect starting place for sightseeing and you can reach most historic sights by foot.
We can fully recommend staying with Simone
Great apartment and host!
Simone was extremely friendly and helpful. He arranged taxi service from the train station to his home and even invited us to his restaurant. The place is very clean and right in the middle of everything. I would recommend Simone to anyone. Thanks again Simone!!
The three of us had a great six nights in Simone's flat. He was a great host and was very receptive. Trastevere was a great choice of areas as it is a hub of activity and you can still walk to all the main attractions in Rome. There were wandering minstrels and restaurants below the first floor flat. There was plenty of hot water and the beds were fine. A great time was had but if you want an early night and are a light sleeper, take ear plugs, as everyone else is having a great time as well.
Simone's house was a great place to stay in the wonderful neighborhood of Trastevere. It was comfortable and ideally located. Good to note that this is definitely the place to be on the weekends. It got very loud on Saturday, but we were out with the crowds and loved spending the night on the streets, taking in all the life and color.
Everything was great. Simone was really helpful and the neighborhood was perfect. There was noise from the street at night but it didn't keep us up. Really loved the apartment, location and Rome.
