  • The place was beautiful!!!! Anna was a wonderful host and very heart warming, from the moment we walked in we felt right at home. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit New Jersey or New York (like my friends and I had done) she was extremely helpful and addressed all of our concerns. Was quite hard to leave as she felt like family. The experience you'll get is a one of kind and leave you wanting to come back and visit. Thank you for everything Anna! - Greetings from Florida and Germany

  • I spent a week at Anna's lovely home while taking a class in Montclair. Anna's charm and warmth, helpful and generous nature, engaging presence and nourishing, delicious breakfasts made this a delightful place to spend the week. Her home provided a comfortable, clean, pleasing environment which allowed access to the kitchen as I needed during my stay. I slept well every night in a comfortable bed with cotton flannel sheets and warm comforter and I had a quiet place to study. I loved the light-filled dining room and art throughout the house, but more so I immensely enjoyed my conversations with Anna. She is a very special person whom I believe touches every guest with her beautiful heart!

  • This is a wonderful place to stay. The bed was comfortable, long enough for tall me. The room felt private. The best is Anna. She is amazing: kind, considerate, present. Served a wonderful breakfast. Gave information on local area. We went to the art museum, and saw an excellent exhibit on Native American clothing. I am from NM, and found it informative. I bought a good book on creativity at the museum. We went for a walk in the park, ate at a vegan restaurant. Anna was helpful and understanding about our late night arrival. We liked it so much we stayed a second day, giving us valuable decompression time. We had the opportunity to converse about our lives. I can say that we left wanting to become friends. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

  • I can't imagine a better experience. Good communications all the way. Anna was friendly and gracious. Bedroom: I liked the bed, all the space for luggage, good lighting options, a clock, and shelves of interesting books. Bathroom: Great counter space , good shower, plenty of decent towels and the best walls ever (have to see for yourself). Neighborhood: Safe, pleasant. I opened my eyes to green leaves out the window:) Anna made a terrific, hearty breakfast, and the house was easy to be in, She was also extremely welcoming to the people I came to town to visit, and we found much in common. I look forward to a return someday.

  • Anna's home was charming, comfortable, homely, highly attractive and quiet.

The level of conversation we had with Anna was deeply thought provoking and insightful and we are now highly aware of the attractiveness of Montclair and its surrounds.

Best of all was Anna's wonderful breakfast of delicious oatmeal with fruits and greek yoghurt.

In conclusion we have no hesitation in highly recommending Anna's place to anyone needing an easy drive into Manhattan

  • We had a lovely time staying with Anna! The house is beautiful, and Anna was an extremely gracious and thoughtful host - even running out to grab extra milk for our baby daughter when we were out. Breakfast was delicious. Highly, highly recommend.

  • We had a very enjoyable stay with Anna. The accommodations were very nice. Anna sent us off each day with a heathy, filling breakfast. We returned each night to interesting and intellectually stimulating conversations around the kitchen table.

  • Anna is an absolute incredible host and I dare say, a new friend. Yes, fantastic room, super yummy breakfast....but for me, travel is about the human connections you make. Your life will be enriched by your time with Anna, at her home.
