I'm glad you were able to enjoy the house despite your situation. I am disappointed you feel robbed, but I disagree and do not think any price you had was unfair, you had a great discount on your initial reservation and then I tried to keep it under 70 a night each renewal you made. You are correct it was my mistake to not communicate the price might change, we couldn't afford such a low price after the extension, I will learn from the experience and better inform my future guests.
However Stephen, a big factor of your price increase, was because you failed to check out of my property on the date that was agreed. You over stayed a night without warning, and you didn't even allow the cleaning service I had planned for the next morning to do their job, even when I asked politely and despite it being at no extra cost, costing me what I had already paid for that service. This not only affected my logistics but since your original reservation got closed; Airbnb charged you again taxes and service fees for an extension, I didn't charge you that, Airbnb did, because you let your reservation expire, and decided to stay after it did. I appreciate that, at the end, you made sure to pay for every single night you stayed.
When it comes to the actual stay, the place was left extremely dirty, I expect some cleaning needed every time a guest leaves. However, the floor was covered in dirt, there was a bad smell, and the bathroom door was shattered. I won't be doing business with Stephen in the future either. I apologize for any inconvenience we could have caused you and wish you luck.
