About this listing
This is the best way to see NYC!
The suite is part of a two level home with garden located just three blocks from Prospect Park, in beautiful Park Slope, Brooklyn which was recently voted "the best neighborhood in NYC" by New York Magazine.
The available space is a large master suite on the lower level so you'll have plenty of privacy. It even has its own entrance. There's a comfy queen size bed, a seating area, tea and coffee station, a small refrigerator, and Apple TV so you can watch movies, or listen to music after a long day of sight-seeing. There is also a full bath in the space, washer/dryer, and access to a large (by NYC standards) garden.
On the main floor is an open plan living room / kitchen, and full bath which can be made available under special arrangement.
We’ve got WiFi, HDTV with DVD player but no land-line telephone because really, who uses one anymore? There are plenty of CDs and books to keep you busy after trekking all over the city.
We're on a small tree-lined street a half block away from the main shopping strip. There are tons of great restaurants and bars within a three block radius (I’m happy to give you a list of our favorites) and the park is host to Celebrate Brooklyn an outdoor festival with movies, music and dance performances from June – August. We’re also really close to the F, G, R, and M trains, making trips into Manhattan easy.
If the calendar says unavailable don't be discouraged. We just might use you as an excuse to get out of town! We'll consider extended stays, a house swap or rent out the whole house ($275. night). Send me a message and we can discuss dates and rates to suit your needs.
This is a smoke free and shoe free house. We have (very cool) neighbors upstairs so we ask that guests be mindful of that and please keep noise level down after 10 PM.
ideal location for visiting nyc. Easy acces to Manhattan.
Kerrie helped us out when we had a bit of health problems.
She was there when we needed her and made us feel at home.
A trip we looked forward to for a long time passend so quickly and was "awesome".
Kerrie was waiting to greet us in the room with the aircon on, a bottle of wine, some cookies and homemade chocolate. What a welcome! The room was well equipped with coffee plunger, electric jug, toaster as well as hanging & drawer space and washing machine and dryer. She was able to answer all our questions and point us in the right direction as far as good restaurants in the area.
Our only concern was the unreliability of the underground on the weekend when lines were closed for maintenance - it took 2 hours to get from Uptown Manhattan when it should have taken 25 minutes.
We really enjoyed staying in this place. The area has everything you need, with lots of excellent restaurants and cafes.
The hostess is friendly and quick to fix and answer.
We highly recommend this place to others.
Kerrie made us feel very welcome by putting fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, chocolate, french lime soda, delicious cookies, chips and fruit in our room. She also set the table for us. She did a very nice job furnishing the place. We like her taste as well as her hospitality. She knew we had a car and she called us shortly before we got there to tell us that a space opened up in front of her house. We arrived in time to take the spot. We think that it's a perfect location to experience NYC from her pad in Brooklyn.
Recomendadisima! 5/5. Muchas gracias!
Kerrie was very welcoming and accommodating. She kindly had an air conditioning unit going full blast when we arrived - a god send in the heat and humidity. The mini-fridge and toaster oven were a pleasant addition. The neighborhood couldn't be more perfect and her block is charming.
Kerrie is a wonderful host! She was very helpful and flexible in working with us on our recent NYC trip. The suite was very clean, well-kept, and comfortable, and it looked exactly as pictured. This was the perfect spot for us to relax and rest after long days visiting the city. When we return to the city, we'll be checking in with Kerrie again!

About the Host, Kerrie
I'm a public media reporter/producer from NYC. I started hosting visitors in my place a few months ago and love how it gives me a chance to meet interesting people from all over the world. It also gives me the ability to travel a bit myself again!
