This is the best way to see NYC!
The suite is part of a two level home with garden located just three blocks from Prospect Park, in beautiful Park Slope, Brooklyn which was recently voted "the best neighborhood in NYC" by New York Magazine.
The available space is a large master suite on the lower level so you'll have plenty of privacy. It even has its own entrance. There's a comfy queen size bed, a seating area, tea and coffee station, a small refrigerator, and Apple TV so you can watch movies, or listen to music after a long day of sight-seeing. There is also a full bath in the space, washer/dryer, and access to a large (by NYC standards) garden.
On the main floor is an open plan living room / kitchen, and full bath which can be made available under special arrangement.
We’ve got WiFi, HDTV with DVD player but no land-line telephone because really, who uses one anymore? There are plenty of CDs and books to keep you busy after trekking all over the city.
We're on a small tree-lined street a half block away from the main shopping strip. There are tons of great restaurants and bars within a three block radius (I’m happy to give you a list of our favorites) and the park is host to Celebrate Brooklyn an outdoor festival with movies, music and dance performances from June – August. We’re also really close to the F, G, R, and M trains, making trips into Manhattan easy.
If the calendar says unavailable don't be discouraged. We just might use you as an excuse to get out of town! We'll consider extended stays, a house swap or rent out the whole house ($275. night). Send me a message and we can discuss dates and rates to suit your needs.
This is a smoke free and shoe free house. We have (very cool) neighbors upstairs so we ask that guests be mindful of that and please keep noise level down after 10 PM.
Kerrie puts in all the extra touches that make you feel like you are a royal guest - from fresh oranges to snacks to sparkling water. The master suite is warm, comfortable and soothing! We love it!
Kerrie is a WONDERFUL host. She is very attentive and has every detail covered. The apartment was wonderful, exceeding our expectations. Loved the neighborhood. Very safe, and close to whatever you need. We will definitely go back and recommend this place to our friends and family!
Kerrie was great! She warmly greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed. The suite was cozy, comfy and in a perfect location. Meaning right in the midst of great Park Slope eateries and easy access to the train into Manhattan. Great, easy place to land if you're staying in Brooklyn.
What a wonderful stay! My husband and I really enjoyed staying in Kerrie's beautiful Park Slope suite. It was close to the subway (easy 6 to 8 minute stroll) and seriously, just a minute to shops on 7th Avenue. Fonda had amazing guacamole and yummy croissants at Union Market - these became our almost-daily treats! Delicious food and subway convenience aside, Kerrie was seriously super helpful with so many things. Advice on where to go, helping us with our parcels, making sure we had all the things we need… the list goes on! The place was really comfortable and having Netflix was a bonus too. All in all, a super lovely place and A-star host! Highly, highly recommend : )
We had a lovely time at kerrie's place, it was comfy, clean and beautiful decorated. We haven't seen Kerrie that much but she was very helpful via messaging or mail. Wireless network was great at the house, Kerrie provided us with a brooklyn guide, water, fruits and some sweets when we arrived late. The trip was a really nice experience & we are gonna definitely gonna stay at her place again next time in NYC. The apartment is close to restaurants, bars, parks, coffee shops and the subway line F. We really enjoyed the trip.
A fantastic time had by all of us in this location.
Kerrie is a fabulous host and makes you feel at home from the first minute.
The accommodation gives you everything you need and a really really comfy bed !!
I would recommend this place to anyone visiting NYC as the location regarding the subway lines (2 choices) makes it a doddle to get around this fabulous city.
Looking forward to our next visit already !!

I'm a public media reporter/producer from NYC. I started hosting visitors in my place a few months ago and love how it gives me a chance to meet interesting people from all over the world. It also gives me the ability to travel a bit myself again!
