This is the best way to see NYC!
This two level home with garden is located just three blocks from Prospect Park, in beautiful Park Slope, Brooklyn which was recently voted "the best neighborhood in NYC" by New York Magazine.
The available room is a large master suite on the lower level so you'll have plenty of privacy. It even has its own entrance. There's a comfy queen size bed, a seating area, and an office space with computer and printer so you can use the Internet, watch movies, listen to music or work as needed. There is also a full bath, washer/dryer, and private access to a large (by NYC standards) garden.
On the main floor is an open plan living room / kitchen, and full bath which can be made available under special arrangement.
We’ve got WiFi, HDTV with DVD player but no land-line telephone because really, who uses one anymore? There are plenty of CDs and books to keep you busy after trekking all over the city.
We're on a small tree-lined street a half block away from the main shopping strip. There are tons of great restaurants and bars within a three block radius (I’m happy to give you a list of our favorites) and the park is host to Celebrate Brooklyn an outdoor festival with movies, music and dance performances from June – August. We’re also really close to the F, G, R, and M trains, making trips into Manhattan easy.
If the calendar says unavailable don't be discouraged. We just might use you as an excuse to get out of town! We'll consider extended stays, a house swap or rent out the whole house ($245. night). Send me a message and we can discuss dates and rates to suit your needs.

Kerrie is a great host. The apartment is lovely, clean and even bigger than in the pictures. We stayed for a week, and can most definitely recommend the place!
We had a great stay at Kerrie's place. It must first be said that the area she lives in is INCREDIBLY safe and peaceful. We walked 7 blocks from the subway to her flat every night (latest around 12am), and never felt wary or on edge...we only ever saw mothers and strollers/family people the entire time we were in Park Slope, even late at night. It is a very quiet part of town.
As for the stay itself, the suite is immaculate and very cozy. We had minor noise issues quite late one night with the guests staying in the other portion of the house, and Kerrie was quick to respond to our concerned texts and worked with us as we figured out a solution. She was prompt to reply the few times we had questions, which is definitely an A+ quality in a host. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the area.
We loved Brooklyn and the area.Kerrie was really helpfull and friendly.Going to Manhattan is very easy with the subway. The 7th Avenue is full of resturants so its easy to find somewhere to eat.If you want to have mediterranean food you can go to Almira's.
Kerrie helped us along the way so everything was really easy for us.We would love to come back and stay in her place again. The last night we loved her pumpkin pie and wine. Love from istanbul
Perfect location, excellent hospitality, nice neighbourhood, for us
the best choice to explore NYC. Thanks Kerrie, for a fantastic
Kerrie was a great host. The location was excellent and she was great to work with.
We really enjoyed staying at Kerrie's apartment! The suite was not only beautiful but very comfortable and tranquil. The location was also really nice and we enjoyed exploring the great shops and restaurants in the neighborhood.
The apartment is only a short walking distance to the subway station which made trips to Manhattan very easy.
Kerrie was a lovely host who was always very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had.
Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return! Thank you Kerrie!
Kerrie was always very helpful, The place is relaxed and very good to explore New York with kids. We started our trip to New York at Parc Slope, which was a good choice. Thank you Kerrie for everything.
I LOVED my stay with Kerrie! The room had lots of extras including access to a washer and dryer, which I needed at that point in my trip. A very welcoming space, great location. I plan to return!
Staying at Kerrie's apartment, we felt like one of the 'locals'... commuting to NYC using the F trains. The apartment is a short walking distance to the subway station (about 10 minutes walk) and there's a 24 hour convenience store on the way as well as an awesome pie/coffee cafe: Dub Pies. The ice coffee and breakfast pie make good starter for a day at NYC.
It takes about 45 minutes to get to NYC, which sounds like a long time but after spending the whole day in the city, the long train ride is much welcome.
Kerrie was very nice and made us feel welcome even though arrived much later than expected (midnight too!). We had much privacy during our stay and although another friend decided to join us at the very last minute, Kerrie was accomodating and prepared an air-mattress for our friend. Kerrie was also helpful during our stay, giving us permission to contact her if we need anything. But we spent most time outdoor and were just too grateful for the nice room with air-conditioning to ask for anything else. The room is equipped with a kettle, which is handy when making hot drinks (another friend stayed in a 3-star hotel downtown and had no access to a ketlle! The hotel staff wasn't even sure what a kettle is ???)
Overall, we were happy with our decision to stay at Kerrie's apartment. Not only it saves us money, we also felt like we're a local in New York!
Having read positive reviews, we were disappointed that Kerrie did not seem friendly and welcoming towards us. Having stayed in a hotel in Manhatten prior to coming to Kerrie's,we were looking forward to a more interactive experience with Kerrie and her family. It would have been nice to get to know a little about her and life in Brooklyn. The room was comfortable, and the A/C was much appreciated in the hot weather. A little more attention to detail could have improved our stay. The street and general area was very nice and convenient to shops, subway and beautiful Prospect Park.
