Fully furnished 1-bedroom apartment within walking distance of the best shopping, galleries and restaurants in Taos. Quiet and peaceful--perfect place to unwind and discover the charm of northern New Mexico.
The apartment is cozy and comfortable for 1-2 people. There's an intimate patio area with bistro table--perfect for your first cup of coffee in the morning. Or if you prefer, take your cuppa to the front courtyard where you can hear the splash of the fountain and watch the birds, bees and butterflies come for a morning bath.
It's all about location--you're within a short walk of the plaza yet in a very private and secluded getaway. Many guests remark that they are able to park their cars in the off-street area and do all their exploring by foot.
There's a larger grocery just a block away--even a pizza takeaway within walking distance! For skiers, the Taos Ski Valley shuttle stops a short block away on Paseo del Pueblo Sur.
If you're visiting in the winter, we have a small and extremely efficient Norwegian wood burning stove that adds to the ambiance as well as the coziness of the apartment.
The bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed yet is large enough to accommodate suitcases without feeling cramped.
The bathroom is small but very convenient with a large walk in shower with Talavera tile.
The kitchen is fully furnished so you can decide whether to take advantage of Taos' numerous first rate restaurants or stay at home and keep life simple. There's a full-size refrigerator and stove as well as the usual smaller appliances (toaster, hand mixer, blender--for the inevitable margaritas in the patio!).
There is a shared washer and dryer (free of charge) just 10 yards from the apartment.
In the back I have a small Tuff Shed where you can store your bikes, snow shoes, skis or excess luggage--locked and secure!
I love Taos and am always eager to share recommendations and suggestions for places to go and things to do.
I love the location of the apartment because of its proximity to the plaza area. And the grassy green courtyard is a great place to relax and unwind.
If you bring your bikes, you can pedal to all around the town. Taos' answer to mass transit (the Chile Express!) stops one block from the apartment on Paseo del Pueblo Sur
We require a 2 night minimum. In non-peak periods we will attempt to accommodate a single night stay but will require the guest to pay a cleaning fee.

Donna got back to me so swiftly via AirBnB for my last-minute inquiry, and then followed up with a phone call. Her subsequent email contained everything I needed to know. The apartment was quiet and absolutely clean, with a lovely, well-equipped kitchen. It was so convenient to downtown Taos. Donna was a delightful host to talk with.
Great place to stay. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy walk to plaza area for shopping and food. Donna has the place well equipped with towels, sheets, dishes, etc. Definitely hope to stay here again in the future.
My wife and I had a great time staying in this warm, cozy apartment. When returning to Taos this will be the lodging at the top of our list.
We booked for the week-end before Thanksgiving but the roads were so treacherous that we were concerned about driving. Donna kindly has allowed us to move our trip to a different time. Being this accomodating was very helpful and deserves recognition.
Donna was superb.....from quick response to questions and details
to providing directions and check in/key procedures. The unit
was exactly as described plu very clean and charming. The
Convenience cannot be (email hidden)terally a 5 minute stroll to Taos
Plaza, and easy walking distance to many of the Town's best
restaurants. The compound's courtyard was a terrific surprise
with charming fountain and great foliage/landscaping.
I recommend the property unconditionally and will definitely stay
there on my next vist to Taos.
Sincerely, Stephen Bunyard
THis was a lovely apartment for a weekend getaway. It was so charming and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay- full kitchen, lovely bathroom, cozy living room, and comfy bed! This apartment is in a quiet neighborhood, but also SO close to downtown Taos. We walked all over town and were so thrilled to have such a nice base camp for the weekend. Donna, was super easy to work with and everything was just perfect!
