We stayed at Stefano's apartment for 3 nights and totally loved it. It's exactly as he described, and it was closed to everything. Pantheon, Collseo, Trevi Fountain, and even the Vatican were all an easy walk. And being 4 mins walk to Campo di Fiori was a big plus with all the food and nightlife. When we reached, Valeria patiently explained all the important things for someone new to Rome like us, gave us great recommendations, and made us feel very comfortable. These are good people and excellent hosts! Thank you for everything :-)
We spent 10 days at Stefano's apartment and it was a splendid time. He welcomed us at our arrival and gave us advices about places around the apartment to eat, or buy food, or even places to visit, and he sent us communications during our stay asking if everything was ok and offering again his help in any question. The apartment was exactly as described, we needed the air conditioned every night because it was an exceptionally hot weather in Rome these days. The neighbourhood was excellent and very safe, most places near just walking and buses stops two blocks . We definitely would come back to this place if we ever return to Rome .
Stefano is a great host - very friendly, well organized and always available. We needed to print our tickets for some sights in Florence which he happily did for us.
In the apartment there is a great map and a list of recommended restaurants. I am gluten sensitive and Stefano found out for me where I could eat safely. The Voglia di Pizza restaurant had a fantastic gluten-free pizza (and a regular one too). What a treat for me! Thank you, Stefano!
The location was great, the neighborhood was beautiful, safe, and not too loud, and the apartment was walking distance from many beautiful piazzas. The apartment was very clean and nicely organized, and it contained everything that we needed. If we ever return to Rome, we will definitely stay here again :)
I couldn’t expect more from Stefano and Valeria. The apartment is of course very clean, well organised. They arranged airport transportation for our come and go. The thing really impressed me was that they literally replied me back SECONDS after I sent email to ask them some tour questions via Airbnb system. It was not just day time, they even responded me right away at 4’o clock in the morning when I worried about how to catch up our Vatican tour at 8:20 am. They helped us to arrange a taxi downstairs right away! Their help made our five-day-stay at Rome very relaxed and comfortable! Thanks!
P.S. Their list of suggested restaurants are very helpful too! We tried all of them out! :)
Great hosts: Stefano and Valerie. Apartment is in perfect location, walking distance to all attractions, yet quite and safe. Stefano helped arrange for taxi from airport and to the train station- that helped a lot. Both are friendly and hospitable. Apartment met all our needs. Also, recommendations about food and other interesting places were extremely helpful. Staying in Stefano apartment was a perfect start to our vacation.
I recommend everyone to stay in this apartment! The location is just perfect, so you can really reach everything on foot. Moreover, there is a good connection to public transportation. The apartment itself is very clean, comfortable and there is everything you need, and even more! When we arrived on a hot day, Stefano and Valeria welcomed us in and gave us a bottle of cooled white wine. It was really nice and hospitable :)
We stayed with 4 people and it was comfortable there. We especially loved the terrace, where we were enjoying breakfasts and midnight antipasti with wine.
I want to specially thank Stefano and Valeria for their advice on where to go for dinner, coffee, ice cream etc. They really took their time to welcome us and share some city insights. We tried most of the places they recommended and we loved it!
Rome is such an amazing city... When we come back there, we want to stay in this apartment again! Thank you guys!
Stefano is absolutely best of the best! We were hosted by 4 airbnb hosts from London, Paris, Venice, and Flourence before we got to Rome and were met by Stefano and his friend Valeria and immediately felt like VIPs. As i was trying to call him right after getting off Uber to tell him that we had arrived, I heard him calling my name. After confirming we were who he was expecting, he and Valeria grabbed our luggage, took them up the stairs and made the pull out bed after showing us the beautiful and efficient apartment. They were the only hosts who actually took a lot of time to go over what they had already prepared, like the map, names, and the addresses of the places they recommended for breakfast, pastries, gelato, pasta, pizza, etc near the apartment. they even made it very easy for us to find them by numbering them and mark them on a map that was for us to take with us on the hunt for these places-very, very thoughtful and that saved us a lot of time and we made it to most of them and absolutely loved everyone especially the hand made pasta restaurant called Osteria de Fortunata where we ordered the oxtail, noodle with crispy bacon, etc. it is for sure a restaurant worth coming back to Rome for and we were so grateful for the recommendation. As soon as they left us to get settle in, we started chowing down the delicious tiramitsu cakes among others in the two snack jars...
The neighborhood was great, right by the Tiber river and the buses, as well as the hop on/off bus run by Omnia vatican & Rome were only a couple of minutes to get to and a lot of popular attractions were within walking distance...
In the morning on the day of check out, i got a message from Stefano saying he was downstairs and would like to say goodbye. he met us outside the building and again took two of our luggage and walked us to meet our Uber driver. when the Uber car took a little too long to get to the place where we waited, i got a little panicd since we were running late getting to the Termini station. Stefano immediately used his phone, contacted the Uber driver and told him that we can meet him on the other side of Tiber river so we can save lot of time waiting for him to get across the Sisto bridge and then cross the bridge again to head over to the station. We barely made it to the airport shuttle before it took off. we would of definitely missed the bus had he not been there. He saved our day.
