A spacious room in an elegant, 2br/2bath apt. home that is relatively new, in the Glen Iris/South Side area, is available to non-smoking travelers. Clean, comfortable, and walkable to the University campus (Alys Stephens Center and the business school are a short walk away ), minutes from the Medical Center and 5 points South (1.3 mi). Easy highway access, gated, with wireless internet, TV in the room, and kitchen access. Disadvantages: Breakfast is not usually provided, laundry room only for stays of 3 days or longer. Further, as a result of a recent experience with a listing in a different city, I am now requiring a deposit, should I take your reservation, and the living room is off limits, unfortunately. Kitchen and dining areas are not off limits. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience. This was a nice apt in a very secure complex near downtown. VERY clean and comfortable and a comfortable bed is a real plus. Private bathroom. Plenty of parking. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Cj!
CJ accepted my request at the last minute and I felt lucky to find a good and inexpensive place to stay in Birmingham at short notice. I found his space "clean, tidy, comfy" as he says, in a new apartment complex - there was even a pool I could use, which was nice. I didn't see much of CJ himself but he was a welcoming host!
Cj's home was very clean and comfortable. His home is nicely decorated and has a tranquil atmosphere. His place is also convenient to the downtown area. I highly recommend Cj for your Birmingham visit.
I've spent 4 days in CJ's flat in Birmingham. I didn't get to see much of him, but when I did see him, he was very accommodating and hospitable. The flat itself is specious, clean and well taken care of.
The surrounding is very beautiful and I felt very safe walking around, taking in Birmingham's views. There's a park near by, and the the flats complex itself is also very quiet and green. I was told by CJ I could use the gym and the pool there, but I never got around to do it.
The bus from the central bus terminal of Birmingham passes right next to the complex. It's also very close to the university, and some of Birmingham's main attractions, like Vulkan statue and 5 points, are walkable from there.
Overall I've had a great stay and would recommend to anyone coming to tour the city of Birmingham.
