The Space

Enjoy an easy, relaxing vacation on Lake Champlain at our lovely camp! In the main cabin, there is one bedroom with a double bed, a large living room with a big comfy couch (big enough for sleeping), a dining room, a kitchen, and views, views, views!!!
The small detached upper camp has 2 twin beds, a half bath and a washer/dryer.
This is a quintessential New England "camp", meaning it has the bare necessities to sleep and eat comfortably while enjoying the main attraction: Lake Champlain. This is a remarkably peaceful, private spot, perfect for reading, writing and quiet reflection.
Charlotte is a rural, quaint town with a couple of stores where you can pick up the basics, a sandwich and a cup of coffee. There is a wonderful little library and a creemee (soft serve ice cream for the rest of the country) stand. Vergennes and Shelburne are both 15 minutes away, with many more restaurants, shops and things to do. Shelburne is home to a world-class museum. Lively Burlington is 30 minutes away with wonderful restaurant, shopping, and spa experiences, not to mention great night-life and an aquarium.
Vermont is famous for it's wonderful road biking and Charlotte is the perfect spot to start your biking tour. There are plenty of hiking opportunities nearby - we love to hike up Mount Philo (just 2 miles away!) for sunset picnics - the view is breathtaking!!
There is a place to launch your canoe or kayak and swim just 1/4 mile down the road from our property. We hope you will come and enjoy this little slice of heaven!!
**Please note, this property is on a bluff, and while there is a safety fence, it may not be suitable for young children.**

  • What a great spot! Exactly what we wanted. A nice little camp with an incredible view. We managed to lock ourselves out one evening but Lisa and her husband were very responsive. They were at the house 5min after we called. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Great location near Burlington. Wonderful views from the porch. Classic New England cottage vibe. Cozy, efficient, and well-outfitted. A great place!

  • We had a FANTASTIC time at the Rustic Cabin! The only complaint I would have is the 4 missing puzzle pieces! (That is a joke). Again, it was an overall wonderful time and we hope to be back!

  • I rented this cabin for some of my bridal party to stay during the wedding festivities for the week. There was a mix of people coming from California and France, so this was the perfect Vermont experience for them. They loved it!! Although my husband and I did not stay, we only heard amazing things from our friends about their stay. Perfect mix of rustic and charming! We can't wait to rent it for ourselves next time.

  • Lisa was an excellent host who went well beyond the expected to make our stay comfortable. The views of the lake from the porch were memorable. The fire pit was fun for s'mores. And the amazingly bright stars at night were stunning. We hope to return in the Spring for another secluded and restful vacation.

  • We loved our stay at the camp on lake Champlain! The area is beautiful, and the views of the lake were incredible. We enjoyed hiking around Philo mountain, and tons of local winery's and brew pubs. Filinos pizzeria and Fiddlehead brewery in particular are very close and very good.
The camp was exactly as described and just what we were looking for, rustic but extremely charming. We had lots of privacy and relaxation. The only thing that was a bummer is that the fire place needed to be cleaned and smoked too much to use. It was very chilly and a fire would have been great. There were space heaters provided so that helped.
Other than that, it was awesome. We would go back in a heartbeat.
